Cairn Terriers

It has been an honour to be invited to award CCs for the first time. Although I was a little under the weather, this was all forgotten when the classes started, & I enjoyed every moment.

PGD

1 Smith’s Rocasovale Danish Delight, endearing head & expression. Good topline & tailset. Smart dog with a good coat (although a little more length would improve the picture), strode out well around the ring.

LD

1 Catto’s Birselaw Stay With Me, b/br in full coat (perhaps a little past its best – but coats are transient!). Typical Cairn head & expression – very nice. Good length of neck & back, & depth & spring of rib was what I would have hoped for. Relaxed in movement & covered the floor easily. RCC;

2 Smith’s Rocasovale Distant Drums, nicely presented. Smart head. Confident & lovely coat. Animated on the move. Preferred the movement of 1.

OD

1 Shaw’s Ch Honeyhall Headboy, beautiful Cairn. Confident & full of himself. Presented well. Strong head with good stop, eye & ear placement. Typical expression & to coin a cliché ‘all dog’. Great to go over on the table with super outline. Carries his head high & confidently. Good length of neck, sloping onto correct shoulders & into level topline seamlessly. Angulation front & back was spot on & to cap it all tailset & carriage was faultless. Strode around the ring as if he owned it. Easy decision for my first ever CC & delighted to award the DCC to this beautiful dog.

VD

1 Lynch’s Fieldron Call My Bluff at Linacrelads, happy cream 10 year old. Nice head, & in profuse, harsh coat. Moved freely.

JB

1 Catto’s Birselaw Paige Turner, endearing wheaten/br. Lovely head & expression. Good stop. Nice sloping neck (of good length) running into good topline. Good angulation & effortless on the move. RCC.

PGB

1 Smith’s Teddeana Love From Russia at Rocasovale, in short coat today (once again – coats are transient) with nothing to hide. Lovely head. Good expression & nice length of neck sloping into well kept topline. Moved with determination;

2 Dawson’s Sybster Saffron, in opposite condition to 1, shown in full double coat – perhaps a little too much! Nice expression. Preferred movement of 1

. LB

1 Clarke’s Lentrica Dolly Daydream, she caught my eye, as soon as she ‘glided’ into the ring. Picture perfect outline. Oozed class, without anything being overstated. Proportions are spot on. A feminine head & expression to match. Excellent carriage of head & neck. Topline superb & maintained on the move. Angulation front & back very good. Depth of rib good. Well muscled. Coat in beautiful condition. Movement was ‘as described’, she ‘glided’ around the ring, not too fast, not too slow but made it look so easy & effortless. Delighted to award such a beautiful bitch CC & BOB;

2 Smith’s Rocasovale Ervin Lass, a gr/br bitch in short, neat coat. Nice head & neck running into good topline. Lots to like but wasn’t into getting into her stride today.

OB

1 Smith’s Anjofra Plum Tart at Rocasovale, a nice feminine bitch. Lovely expression. Good outline & level topline. Well proportioned. Lots to like, but a little unsettled on the move.

VB

1 Dawson’s Sybster Sauvignon, cream bitch who talked her way around the ring. How endearing. Coat was a little patchy & she was quite ‘relaxed’ on the move, but a happy old girl to be out.
