CAIRN SKC OCTOBER 23 Judge: Mrs G Jane Lilley CAIRN JUDGE SKC OCTOBER 23 PD (1) 1 Young & Lithgow’s Furythor Orion. Dark brindle of 17 months with a bright intelligent expression in his dark eyes. A strong powerful mover behind, if going a touch wide in front. 1 Clarke’s Furythor Mr Bojangles by Lentrica. 18 month old well balanced typey silver brindle, who scored here on his layback of shoulder with well set and carried tail. Darkest of eyes, in harsh mature jacket and hard muscular condition. Such an eager-to-please showman, who moved extremely well and precisely to his handler’s every wish. 2 Hiam’s Carradine Arfa Pint. 2 year old masculine red brindle with a charming head, eye and expression, good bone. Well balanced with level topline, in excellent harsh jacketed double coat, A good mover, well presented. 3 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Come Dancing with Macmoon. 1 Declerk’s Fr Ch Carradine Ardenhoe. Handsome, non stop wagging well balanced 3 year old red brindle, if coat he had not! Impressive for make, shape, size and type, with a good shape to his head, excellent pigment and a bright intelligent expression in his dark sparkling eyes. He moved to match the excellence of his conformation. Despite his current lack of jacket, there was enough to prove that he was capable of producing one of top quality so, thus, earned the CC. 2 Munday’s Lentrica Mystic Warrior. 2 year old dark brindle who, too, had a beautiful head, eye and expression. Just a touch taller than the winner but in excellent coat. He moved well. A charming character. 3 Purvis’ Mosspur Time and Again. 1 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Dark Charmer for Macmoon. 9 year old dark brindle, with such a good mouth and in hard muscular condition if a little soft in coat. A good mover going particularly well behind. A happy vocal fellow letting everyone know how obviously he was enjoying himself. BV. 1 F. Orion, BSB. 1 Inett & Harrison’s Carradine Picadd Lilly 11 month old red brindle litter sister to the BP with level topline, good tailset and carriage, in excellent coat and hard muscular condition. A little charmer with an appealing feminine expression if not as mature as her brother as yet. She too moved very well. 1 Munday’s Furythor Marvel at Me 17 month old dark brindle with charming head and eyes so reminiscent of those peaty pools as spoken of so fondly by Feffie Somerfield. Well made all through with good layback of shoulders and level topline Rather more interested in the exciting smells on the floor than the job in hand but did enough to prove that she can move well when she concentrated. 2 Saich’s Lindcoly Picture Perfect. 15 months old wheaten brindle who decided to behave in anything remotely like a showgirl to begin with but then redeemed herself at the last moment and decided to move very well indeed. So good for size, type and balance with a delightful expression and level topline. 3 Parkin’s Svendalens Dancing Queen. 1 Saich’s Lindcoly Walking in Memphis. 16 month old wheaten brindle with dark eyes and pigment, a well laid shoulder and strong quarters with good turn of stifle. Firm strong pads. She went well especially when choosing to forget about her extra high stepping with energy and enthusiasm on the move. 1 Inett, Harrison & Bateman’s Carradine Precious Pumpkin Pie. Most attractive well balanced 2 year old red brindle. Well shaped head with small neat ears and a bright alert expression in her dark eyes. So good for size, type, make and shape with well laid shoulder, this being reflected in the excellence of her movement. In harsh jacket with good undercoat. What a showgirl she is, obviously loving every moment! RCC. 2 Percy’s Winetta Frankly My Dear. 2 year old wheaten brindle with the most beautiful head, eye and expression. Just a little longer in loin that the winner but with good layback of shoulder, in excellent coat and condition with good tailset and carriage. She too moved extremely well. 1 Felters & Rumens’ Ch Birselaw Caol Ila at Lanbuck. Beautiful 2 year old red brindle, chock full of quality and type. So well balanced and lovely for size, presented in harsh double jacket and hard muscular condition. She was not only a joy to watch on the move but to handle with all the parts fitting neatly and firmly into the whole. Has the most gorgeous head, eye and neat pricked ears along with a non-stop wagging tail to complete my picture of a Cairn Terrier. A thrill indeed. CC her 6th & BOB & shortlisted in the Group by Mr D Shields. 2 Inett & Harrison’s Carradine Wilma. 3 year old silver brindle. slightly taller than the winner.
