DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE BOSTON 25

I would like to thank the Dandie exhibitors for accepting me as their stand in judge as I understand Mr Phil Davies was indisposed.

PGD

1 Lairdship Larger Than Life (Mills) Pepper at 2 ½ years but looks younger. A happy chappie with his coat on the change. OK for angulation at both ends but not quite the outline I was looking for. Muscular quarters but claws a little long.

LD

1 Puddockswell What The Dickens of Bleaklee (Cundall) Excellent presentation on this well made mustard. He has a pleasing head, strong neck, good for ribbing and moving well, although with not so much enthusiasm. Res BD

OD

1 Ch Mishahda Mischief Managed (Butcher) very good for both coat and movement on this lad. He has a super head with bright eyes, correct shoulder placement and plenty of depth to his chest. He has a super topline, good hind angulation and neat feet. Moving well. Happy to award him BOB

2 Ch Barton Dandies Charles Darnay (Imp Esp) (Milton & Kurg). This mustard is such a character, his tail wagging constantly. He is good for overall shape and size. He has strength in head with good ear placement, is good for ribbing and a strong loin. Dropped his coat today and not quite the topline of 1.

PB

1 Etsill Evie (Kurg & Milton) a feminine pepper at 11months. She has a pleasing outline and is showing much promise. Good front and feet and moving well. Just needs to gain a touch more confidence. BP

2 Lairdship Lickety Split (Mills) – this 11 months pepper has a super head and her coat is coming along nicely. Needs to tighten up in front.

JB 1 Etsill Swannay (Kurg) just shy of 12 months this mustard is litter sister to 1st in the previous class. Great head and dark eye, straight front and good bone. Super movement giving a free and easy stride, not over angulated at the hock.

2 Finamor’s Voulez Vous with Bonnybeck (Sleight) This mustards coat is coming along nicely, falling into pencils. Broad skull, good pigment and pleasing outline although not the movment of 1.

PGB

1 Lovelettie Butter Bean to Hawkesmill (Russell) Super happy pepper with personality plus! Unexaggerated bodylines, moving off well and handled so confidently. To be picky would prefer a touch shorter in the muzzle.

LB

1 Etsill Hannabreck JW (Kurg) a feminine, quality mustard showing as sound as a pound and well balanced all through. Lovely head and front, good spring to her ribs and she has fluid movement using her well-muscled quarters. Res BB

2 Diddimont Bella Trix of Bleaklee (Cundall) Much heavier type mustard than 1, but of a pleasing shape and balanced all through. Good head and expression, topline and tailset.

OB

1 Jollygaze Ursula at Hawkesmill (Imp Aus) (Russell), this mustard has a pleasing head with a good shaped dark eye, decent front & feet, super coat and handled to perfection. Could do with a tidge more weight.

VB

1 Mishahda Where It All Began (Sleight) at 8 years, this pepper has strength in head and is of a good make and shape all through. She has a muscular neck good shoulders, ample bone and a strong backend. Moved well. Another happy one who obviously still enjoys her showing! BB & BV
