DANDIE DINMONT DRIFFIELD 25 Judge: David Shields DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE DRIFFIELD 25 SBD (3) 1 Atkinson’s Poppipetaiz Mrbluesky at Hullpride. Liked his shape and overall appearance. Pleasing head piece with a good eye and expression. Strong neck set in well placed shoulders, Strong hindquarters with a good bend of stifle along with a correct tailset and carriage. A little soft in coat but his positive movement won him the class on the day. 2 Kenyon’s Ceilmear Close Encounter. Another who presented a typical outlook both stacked and on the move. Good head shape with a bright and expressive eye. Well developed chest, good spring of rib and well rounded quarters. On the move could not match the winners ground covering stride on the day. 3 Nettleton’s Waffelins Velorum. JD (3,1) 1 Robert’s Puddockswell Imagine This Around Marbledale (IKC). Smart youngster of good make and shape. Liked his head, good size, round full eye and well set ears. Scores in front assembly. Pleasing length of body with a correct topline giving a balanced appearance. Well developed hindquarters for his age and presented with good depth of coat. Moved well on a free and easy stride. 2 Waffelins Velorum. Placed third in Special Beginners. Not the strength of head of the winner. Has a pleasing spring of rib along with a good depth of chest. Was presented in good coat but was moving rather wide in front and lacked drive from his rear. PGD (3,1) 1 Puddockswell Imagine This Around Marbledale (IKC). 2 Poppipetaiz Mrbluesky at Hullpride. LD (3,1) 1 Buckley’s Lovelettie Busy Bean. Relatively still young and still needs a little more maturing to reach his full potential but lots to like about him and wasn’t to far off top honours on the day. Excellent head of good strength. Strong neck set in well placed shoulders. Liked his body shape, correct topline with a good tailset and carriage. Soundest of movers with good reach and drive. 2 Ceilmear Close Encounter. OD (2) Two quality dogs, close decision on the day. 1 Milton & Kurg’s Ch.Barton Dandies Charles Darnay (IMP ESP). Liked his size, shape and his overall balance with that low and weaselly body that is such a trait of the breed. Best of heads with an excellent eye and expression. Very clean over his neck and shoulders. Good depth of chest, well sprung ribs, strong quarters and well let down hocks. Moved soundly fore and aft on a good stride, CC. 2 Butcher’s Ch. Mishahda Mischief Managed. Pushed the winner all the way. Another of good size, so typical in appearance presenting a clean and balanced appearance and is not exaggerated in anyway.
