DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE SOUTH WALES 25

Thank you to those who attended and to those who entered but were unable to make it on the day. I had 4 dogs present - and all were of good quality and had won well earlier this year. This meant I had some diffcult decisions to make - and was forced to nit-pick at times.

JD

1 BD, BOS France’s Kiti’s Band Take the Lead to Torbrae (Imp Cze) EJW25.

PGD

1. BD, BOS France’s Kiti’s Band Take the Lead to Torbrae (Imp Cze) EJW25. Large Pepper 15m/o presented in good order and trimmed beautifully. Attractive headpiece in correct proportions with strong muzzle. Dark eyes and a lovely expression. Correct bite. Long neck into curvy topline with good ribbing. Loin could be shorter for preference. Good angulation fore and aft. Moved well with reach and drive on muscular legs, looking grand in profile. Correct topline.

PB

1. BP, RBB Tinsley’s Cloverwood Juno Star Very pretty 11m/o Mustard, beautifully presented as always from this kennel with a correct jacket. Lovely correct headpiece with a charming expression, strong muzzle, skull filling the hand, thin ears, correct bite. Straight legs on well padded feet. Correct good angulation, topline, ribbing and short loin. On the move has good reach and drive, correct fore and aft - only criticism was a tendency to look a bit “roachy” at times.

JB

1. Mills’ Lairdship Lickety Split Well presented Pepper 14m/o with correct outline. Good skull filling the hand. Ears could be thinner for preference. Muzzle a bit narrower than ideal. Very nice profile movement but a bit close behind. Unlucky to meet the other 2 entrants today.

OB

1. BB, BoB. Tinsley’s Cloverwood As You Like It Hard to fault this lovely 3y/o Mustard who took my eye with her correct outline which she held well on the move. Strong skull and muzzle, correct bite, fine ears and a melting expression. Correct double coat of good length. Correct angulation with well-laid shoulders, strong legs and padded feet. Moved very well with reach and drive.
