BORDER UNION 2013, SMOOTH FOX TERRIERS
All the dogs were clean which was good with the conditions as they were. My only grumble is that sadly we are losing the tight cat like feet on some of today’s smooths.
PUPPY DOG.
1. Nichols’ Zetamaz Gossip Column. Pup of good size, does not need to grow on, he just needs to fill out, nice wedge shaped head with neat well placed ears. Good neck and shoulders, level top line with tail on top, good coat texture, showing his head off. Best Puppy.
JUNIOR DOG.
1. Hannar’s Borovale Kazbegi. Cobby type with excellent round bone, pleasing head and good ear carriage, strong neck going into well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, strong well muscled quarters, would have liked more drive in the rear movement.
2. Nichols’ Zetamaz Gossip Column.
POST GRADUATE DOG.
1. Stahle & Nichols Dobelands Licence To Thrill. Straight front, nice head and ears, enough neck into good shoulders, well ribbed, level top line, tail on top, good bend of stifle, shown in good hard condition, moved and showed well.
LIMIT DOG.
1. Rougvie’s Turflindie Maestro Please. A nice type but didn’t put all in, a real fox terrier head with small well placed ears, a good spring of rib, in hard condition, good round bone, tight feet, moved correctly when settled.
OPEN DOG.
1. Smith Boyle and Jones’ Am Ch. Absolutely Out Of Sight (Imp USA). A real showman, well chiselled head with small well placed ears, straight front, long neck going into correct shoulders, good spring of rib, short loin, tail on top, strong quarters, shown in good hard condition. CC.BOB. was pleased to see him go Group 3.
2. Schonberg’s Konrad V.D. Schonen. Correct size with good bone, pleasing head, nice length of neck, good shoulders, deep brisket, plenty behind tail, moved and showed well. RCC.
3. Rougvie’s Turflindie Maestro Please.
PUPPY BITCH.
1. Brookes’ Zetamaz Talk Of The Town. A real baby of correct size with a super head and ears, more rib to come, level top line, tail on top, moved well when settled, spooked a little by the flapping tent.
POST GRADUATE BITCH.
1. Dams Savivi & Niel’s Belfox Lollipop. Tan and white bitch of correct size, balanced head, well chiselled with small well placed ears, strong neck and correct shoulders, well ribbed, tail on top, good angulation, moved with drive, never stopped showing. CC.
2. Brookes’ Zetamaz Leather And Lace. Straight front, good head shape, neat ears, plenty of neck, correct shoulders, level top line, short loin, plenty behind the tail, moved with purpose.
3. Ketley & Gash’s Enjakay First Love.
LIMIT BITCH.
1. Anderson & Watt’s Del Zarzoso Bad Romance. Cobby bitch with good round bone, nicely shaped head, neat ears, good neck and shoulders, deep brisket, tail on top, in good condition, moved and showed well.
2. Darby’s Dobelands Candy Stripes of Classicway. Bitch of correct size, nice wedge shaped head, well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, tail on top, strong quarters, did not like the tent.
3. Rougvie’s Turflindie Miss Symphonee.
OPEN BITCH.
1. Dams’ Belgian Ch. Belfox Fantasy. Good head and ears, straight front, nice length of neck, correct shoulders, ribbed well back, tail on top, good bend of stifle, well muscled second thigh, moved with drive. RCC.
2. Brookes’ Dobelands Hot Totty at Zetamaz. Beautifully chiselled head with small ears, good length of neck, level top line, short coupled, shown in good hard condition, never stopped showing.
3. Anderson Watt and Smith’s Am Ch. Absolutely Sinful. (Imp USA).
