FOX SMOOTH CRUFTS 13 Fox Terrier (Smooth) Judge(s): MRS S V WATSON FOX SMOOTH JUDGE CRUFTS 13 Smooth Fox Terriers VD (2) 1 Saunders’ Star Turn of Galleyshine, still retains his lovely shape, moves & shows well for 10 years; 2 Chalker’s Cario Dixi Moy, nice head & expression, level back, moved OK. PD (1) 1 Hannar’s Borovale Kazbegi, well bodied for age with a good head which was tan marked, nice length of neck into good lay of shoulder, well sprung ribs, round bone, nice legs & feet, touch wide in forechest, showed well. JD (7) 1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Humfri Bogart, quality young dog, typical of the breed, balanced from head to tail, good shoulders, short back, nice spring of rib, he is a strong youngster & difficult to handle but deserved the RCC; 2 Lunden’s Residenset Stand-In, very nice head but a bit heavy in ear, has ample bone & substance, good tailset, bigger than 1, moved well; 3 Erler & Rosch’s Calypso Boy V Sachsenland, pleasing head & overall shape, showed OK. PGD (4) 1 Crouch’s Glendraterra Sancho Panz among Oaxaca, excellent type, lovely head, wished his ears matched his head, so well balanced, lovely round bone, stands like a ready made hunter, moved & showed well; 2 Cook’s Borovale Jester, t/w, solid tan head, would prefer a better eye, good topline, moved & showed OK; 3 Stahle & Nichols’ Dobelands Licence To Thrill, nice head but ears a problem, good bone & substance, short back, showed well. LD (9) 1 Feltham & Wilson’s Lizoni Cadellins Romance, well balanced b/w quality dog, good head, dark eye, short back, nice bone, legs & feet, straight topline. Would like longer second thigh, movement was excellent, showed all the time; 2 Morris’ Sanamaris Seventy Seven, quality b/w, lovely head, ears & eye giving good expression, ample bone, good rearquarters, moved & handled well; 3 Yanshina’s Skerli Hector, t/w, nice head & ears, not the balance of 1 & 2 being longer in back. OD (7) 1 Morris’ Sanamaris Sweet Talker, quality b/w with very good head, ears & eye, short back, would like a little more reach of neck, shoulders well laid, nice bone, legs & feet, moved & showed well; 2 Hall’s Gosel Ceylonesse, lovely head & eye, nice reach of neck into good lay of shoulder, plenty of substance & bone, maintains a lovely outline, did not move as well as 1; 3 Thornton, Bebbington & Boon’s Ch Glendraterra Fredi Mercury, lovely quality b/w dog, very well balanced, he is a nice size, but thought he lacked sparkle, worthy ch. GCD (0). VB (3) 1 Chalker’s Rio’s Sparkling Snowflake, feminine head, nice expression, good neck & shoulders, short back, good legs & feet, showed OK, 8 years; 2 Williamson’s Dobelands Dreamer, t/w 7 year old, pleasing & eye, very feminine, not the substance of 1. PB (0). JB (7) 1 Lunden’s Residensetýs Pirate Copy, quality extrovert young bitch, nearly all white, lovely head, dark eye, has substance & bone, nice legs & feet, looked well in profile, moved & showed well; 2 Clifford’s Rockenhart Molly with Migley, nice head, good reach of neck, straight topline, good tailset, moved & showed well; 3 Moehrke’s Prada V D Bismarckquelle, b/w, lovely long clean head with good ears, fair length of neck into good shoulders, looked well in profile, just preferred movement of 1 & 2 here. PGB (8) 1 Adshead’s Saredon Victorias Girl, lovely shaped bitch, nice neck & shoulders, good topline, nice quarters, good legs & feet, well handled, moved well; 2 Ketley & Gash’s Enjakay First Love, nice head, good neck & shoulders, short back, good tailset; 3 Smith’s Thunderclap McNaughton, good head & ears, rather thick set in body, would like a shade bigger, moved & showed OK. LB (2) 1 Crouch’s Glendraterra Lady Gaga among Oaxaca, typical of the breed, lovely head, neck flows well into good shoulders, level topline, well let down behind, lovely legs & feet, moved well both ways; 2 Averis & Savani’s Saredon Ebony And Ivory, nice head & eye, well bodied with good spring of rib, good bone, looked well standing, showed well. OB (4) 1 Lunden’s Nord Ch Residensetýs Count On Me, quality b/w bitch, nice head, good eye, feminine but up to size, good bone, legs & feet, plenty of substance, correct set on, moved & showed well; 2 Jones & Smith’s Darlaur Dyma Fi, lovely head, ears & eye, nice reach of neck, short back, good round bone which showed in legs & feet. Preferred movement of 1; 3 Deblaer’d Ch Be Belfox Fantasy, feminine tan headed bitch, good reach of neck, not as balanced as 1 & 2. GCB (1) Rogers’ Falkmere’s First Impression, t/w, pleasing head, nice size, ample bone, short back, showed well. S V WATSON |
