FOX SMOOTH CRUFTS 14 Fox Terrier (Smooth) Judge(s): MR M MURRAY
FOX SMOOTH JUDGE CRUFTS 14 Many thanks to the Crufts committee for inviting me to judge. Thanks to my stewards Jean Pratt & Sandra Newton for doing a first class job. 1. Brookes’ Dobelands Touch of Frost at Zetamaz. Nice size dog. Good bone & feet. Short back. Well balanced dog. Moved well. 2. Broom’s Bonzai de Malvau. But still a good type. Short back, good bone & feet. Level topline. Moved well. Like the head of 1 better 3. Saunders’ Star Turn of Galleyshine. Did not put all in today. Looked tired. Good head, nice size. In good order. Very close class. 2. Saunders’ Galleyshine Black Emperor. Nice clean head. Good bone & feet. Same as 1, needs time to mature & settle on the move. 3. Knight’s Equifox Polar Bear at Angolcroft. Good head & ear, good length of neck. Level topline. Time will improve him. 1. Thornton, Bebbington & Turner’s Glendraterra Galileo. Quality dog. Well chiselled head, nice fold of ear, good shoulders and level topline. Good bone & feet. Showed well. In very good condition. Res CC. 2. Equifox Polar Bear of Angolcroft. 1. Grant, Griffiths and Hemmings’ Zlatan de la Rosa. Well made dog. Good expression, neat ears, well laid shoulder, short back. Good bone and turn of stifle. Showed & moved well. 2. Brookes’ Zetamaz Rumour Has It. A finer type to I but of a good type. Neat head & ears. Fair length of neck, good topline. Moved well. 1. Griffiths’ Yoxella Wiki Leaks. Well made terrier with lovely head & ear. Well laid shouders, good spring of rib, well boned, nice small compact feet. Showed well. 3. Baker’s Tuskenraider Blaze of Glory. Well made dog, balanced. Good topline, bone & feet. Needs to improve on hind movement. 1. Savini’s Belfox JFubelfox. My type of Smooth. Stands four square. Well chiselled head, ears spot on, neck & shoulders perfect, short level back, tail set on top with plenty behind. Good front.CC & BOB. 2. Schoneberg’s Konrad vd Schonenbergen. Neat head & ears, good neck, well balanced dog. Level topline. Moved soundly. VB (2,1): 1. Chalker’s Rio’s Sparkling Snowflake. Well balanced bitch. Good head & shoulder. Showed well for her age of 9 years. 1. Smith’s Thunderclap McPhee. Well balanced bitch. Good head & ear, good bone, neat feet, short back. Just needs time to come on. 2. Saunders’ Galleyshine Black Pearl. Good head & expression, neat ears. Needs to drop in body and time to mature. 1. Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Strikly Samba. Good sound compact terrier. Neat head & ears, short back, well angulated quarters, good bone & feet. 2. Morris’ Sanamaris So What. Well chiselled head, good fold of ear, good neck & shoulder, good front. Moved & showed well. BP. 3. Hughes & Butcher’s Forgevale Dream Princess. Good sound bitch. Pleasing head & ear, good body shape. Moved well. Three nice bitches. 1. Hall’s Cellarfox’s Morning Glory at Gosel. Needs to come in head. Well balanced, good bone & feet, level topline. Moved & showed well. 2. Rougvie’s Turflindie Miss Symphonee. Sweet bitch, needs to drop to bring this bitch together. 1. Anderson & Watt’s Chezatree Days of Grace at Nisyros. Lovely compact bitch. Good head & ear, well balanced throughout. Short back. Good bone & feet. Moved & showed well. Res CC. 2. Hughes & Butcher’s Forgevale Simply a Dream. Elegant bitch. Good head & ear, longer cast than 1. Good bone & feet. Moved OK. 3. Darby’s Dobelands Candy Stripes of Classicway. Good head & ear, well bodied, short back, good bone & feet. Moved OK. 1. Mohrke’s Prada vd Bismarckquelle. Elegant bitch. Well chiselled head. Ears just right, good neck, level topline, good bone & feet & good condition. Showed & moved very well. CC. 2. Lunden’s Residenset’s Pirate Copy. Good head, good reach of neck, level topline, well angulated. Moved & showed well. 3. Lunden’s Residenset’s Count on Me. Neat head & ears, level topline, good bone & feet. Malcolm Murray
