FOX SMOOTH CRUFTS 17 Fox Terrier (Smooth) FOX SMOOTH JUDGE CRUFTS 17 Smooth Fox Terriers Thank all exhibitors for their entry. Correct movement is a must, add breed type to this & we have a good Smooth Fox Terrier. All my high placings had this. VD (4) 1 Damm’s Int Ch Jhasko von der Zwester, lovely upstanding dog with very good head & expression, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, moved well both ways; 2 Darby’s Ch Star Pride Devil In Disguise, close up to winner & similar comments apply. Still shows off his many virtues; 3 Chalker’s Carlo Dixi Moy, almost 11, put on a good display, movement becoming a bit erratic. PD (2) 1 Mullan’s Micky Du Manoir Saint Adrien at Tamodan, quite a good head, well off for bone & substance, moved OK but a little wide in front, shows promise; 2 Brookes’ Zetamaz Storm Warning, not the substance of winner with less bone, overall proportions are good, would like more reach in front movement. JD (1) 1 Stahle & Nichols’ Chantalle’s Dennis The Menace, good head with a nice flat skull, needs more lift in ears to help his expression, has a good straight front, would like neater feet, needs to settle on the move. PGD (4) 1 Baker’s Roxway Extra Time at Tuskenraider, good type, presents lovely outline, good head & expression, nice neck & shoulders, level back, lovely feet, moved OK, should do well in future; 2 Turley’s Vitus V D Schonen Bergen von Llyunamill, also of good type, showed very well & moved well & a good size; 3 Blissett’s Turflindie Mr Dusty Millers with Foyleside, lacks quality to trouble the best, but did show well, not the best of movers. LD (9,1a) 1 Vickers’ Esquire Funtime Frankie, very good type of Smooth, full of substance, strong in head & expression, good muscular neck, level back with good hindquarters, importantly moved well both ways; 2 Schonenberg’s Pepino von den Schonen Bergen, same type as winner, close decision, showed well & moved well; 3 Templeton’s Nisyros Stormbound at Humeston, of good type & well shown, gay tail spoilt overall picture, moved OK. OD (10) 1 Korozs Papp’s Agria Zip Code, catches the eye on entering the ring, has great presence & showmanship, lovely head & expression, strong muscular neck & best of shoulders, short level back with tail well set, excellent hindquarters with hocks low set, has ample bone, moved well both ways with purpose & drive. CC & BOB; 2 Merveille’s Belfox Matador, another top quality exhibit, well handled & presented, also has a good head & expression, level back & good mover. Well deserved the RCC; 3 Schonenberg’s Nero v d Schonenbergen, close decision for 2 & 3 & similar comments apply. Showed really well. GCD (0). VB (1) 1 Brookes’ Ch Dobelands Hot Totty at Zetamaz, lovely size with happy outgoing nature, good advert for the breed. PB (5) 1 Hughes & Butcher’s Belfox Paris, very feminine, loved her head & expression, handled well on the table, possesses a lovely neck, good shoulders & level back, super bright tan colour, moved very well, promising future. BP; 2 Thornton & Bebbington’s Miss Dior Du Manoir Saint Adrien by Glendratrerra, looked stunning when entering the ring in outline & presence, good head & expression, handled well on the table, disappointed when she moved, needs to settle & co-operate with handler, one for the future; 3 Grant, Griffiths & Hemmings’ Lorecon White With Fright from Yoxella, larger type, good head, well off for bone, moved OK. B (7) 1 Goodley’s Glendraterra Glad Rags, very good sound Smooth, good head & expression, good front, level back, tail well set, good bend of stifle, moved well; 2 Anderson & Watt’s Nisyros Absolutely Wicked, compact & of good size, same comments as winner, close decision, shows promise; 3 Moehrke’s Vanilia v d Bismarckquelle, different type to first two & longer cast, good feminine head, moved OK. PGB (6) 1 Marston’s Chipstead Pancake, feminine head with sweet expression, won this class on movement, has good shoulders & level back, presentation needs to improve; 2 Saunders’ Venice v d Bismarckquelle, larger in size to winner, good in outline & showed well, moved OK; 3 Kettle’s Yoxella Warm Spell, another one up to size, good head, neck & shoulder, level back, shown & handled well. LB (6) 1 Davies’ L’magali Du Manoir Saint Adrien at Mosvalley, lovely head & expression, good reach of neck, good shoulders, level topline & tail well set, correct bend of stifle, low hocks, super overall, moved very well both ways. RCC; 2 Hannar’s Tamedale Shakira at Borovale, liked this one also but heavier type, also has good head, strong muscular neck, good front, level back with good hindquarters, moved well; 3 Detry’s Belfox Osiris, possesses a lovely head & expression, good neck, well sprung ribs, & tail well set, front movement let her down. OB (12) 1 Dams’ Ch Tamedale Finesse, excellent example of the breed, good head & expression with flat skull, correct length of neck, good shoulder placement, right amount of bone & substance, well sprung ribs, level back & tail well set, moved very well both ways & in profile. CC; 2 Baker & Jones’ Ch Darlaur Delaware to Tuskenraider, a worthy champion, feminine head & expression, very good in outline, stands foursquare, did not go so well on the move today; 3 Morris’ Sanamaris Step Lively, another with a good head & expression, lovely neck, deep chest, would like a more level topline, has many qualities, moved OK. GCB (1) 1 Rogers’ Falkmere’s First Impression, well behaved, very friendly & sociable, well done. PETER JULIAN
