FOX SMOOTH JUDGE DARLINGTON 25

Numerically a pleasing entry under the circumstances, however, I found this entry somewhat mixed for overall breed type and quality. As usual a strong presence at the ringside from some true Terrier experts!

JD (1)

1 Wilberg, Bradley, Jenkins, Kanix Stafford, 15 months. Striking individual of obvious merit who is so pleasing on the eye. On inspection he is classic in head which displays good length with strength in underjaw. He is dark in eye which gives off a pleasing expression all topped off with neat well placed ears which he uses to good advantage at all times. He is clean in neck which flows into a well laid shoulder with sufficient in forechest. He is ultra short in back with plenty in rib. Topline is solid which leads to a high set tail with plenty in shelf. His rear is moderately angled with short parallel hocks. On the move he comes to life displaying parallel front action with good drive from his rear whilst holding that eye catching profile on the go around. He was presented in excellent muscle tone while giving his handler one hundred percent at all times. It’s only fair to say that there is more to come from this exhibit with a touch more maturity overall and in time this will happen. No hesitation CC and BoB and I believe this win makes him yet another “Kanix Ch”. Congratulations. Pleased to see him make the short list in what appeared to be a very strong quality Terrier Group!

PGD (1)

1 Henderson, Thunderclap Maccoist at Fibleric, 2 years old with some merit. Heavily marked T/W who is ok in head which has length. Dark in eye with ok ears. Enough in neck but is somewhat overloaded in shoulder. Topline is level which leads to a high set tail. Bone and feet good. He is moderate in his rear angles and is well muscled. Moved out with accurate foot falls on the out and back.

LD (1)

1 Kettle, Davies, Foxindean Press Rewind. Plenty to admire about this one. He scores in head which displays good length with plenty in underjaw. Clear in eye with neat well placed ears. Good reach in neck with sufficient in forechest. Ribbing is well sprung with a short back with high set tail. He stands on quality bone with neat feet. In profile he gives off a pleasing balanced picture. However, would benefit from being just a little more positive whilst going away but was presented in good order.

OD 3 (1)

1 Kettle, United Du Manoir Saint Adrien Avec Foxindean (Imp Fra). Smart individual of obvious merit. Masculine in head which displays correct balance with strength in foreface. Eye and expression ok. Plenty in neck which flows into a clean front assembly with sufficient in forechest. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin with tail set on top with plenty in rear. He stands on quality bone with neat feet. On the out and back he was accurate whilst holding his profile on the go around. Another that was presented in good order. Today the RCC; will continue to catch the eye!

2 Schonberg, Wilhelm One

Vd

1 Schonenbergen. Has plenty of correct breed points to admire. OK in head, eye and expression. Plenty in neck with correct front assembly with enough in forechest. He is well ribbed with a solid topline with tail set on top and plenty in shelf. He stands on quality bone with neat feet. Just not as positive going away as the winner but was well handled and presented.

Such a frustration was this class due to individuals just not wanting to play ball on the move!

1 Dolman, Dolman, Bisquit V.D. Bismarckquele, 14 months. Has plenty to admire all through. Feminine in head which has good length with a dark expressive eye with ears set on top. She scores in neck which flows into a clean front assembly with plenty in rib. I would prefer her to be slightly shorter in overall body proportions but this does not detract from her overall appearance. She is level in topline which leads to a well set tail with plenty in shelf. Her bone has quality with neat compact feet. She won this class on her overall soundness displaying an easy reach and drive whilst being presented in good order.

2 Anderson, Watt, Kaisenborg’s Who the Fox is Alice at Nisyros Imp. Quality exhibit to go over. Feminine in head which displays correct balance. Keen in eye with ears set on top. Plenty in neck with a clean front assembly. She is more to my liking for overall body proportions being short in back with a level topline which leads to a well set tail with enough in her rear. She stands on quality bone with compact feet. Now “Alice” here is the thing, you simply would not cooperate on the move with your handler despite him doing his best to keep you coordinated, so today you had to pay the penalty!

3 Martin, Nisyros Givenchy at Iberfox. Fair all through for type. Head, eye and expression all good. Plenty in neck, compact in body, plenty in rib. Bone and feet good. Tail is well set if somewhat a little short. Again another that needs to come together on the move.

PGB (4)

1 Martin, Iberfox Nippy Sweetie, 15 months. Smart individual of good merit. Feminine in head which displays correct proportions. Correct in skull with dark expressive eyes. Plenty in foreface with good dentition all topped off with neat well placed ears. She has good length in neck which flows into a clean front assembly with sufficient in forechest. She is compact in body with a solid topline which leads to a high set tail with plenty in shelf. She stands on quality bone with neat compact feet. She put her best foot forward on the out and back whilst displaying accurate footfalls and holding a pleasing profile on the go around. Should, with normal luck, reach the top. Today the RCC and it was lovely to see the reaction from this handler!

2 Ketley, Gash, Ultra Douce Du Manoir Saint Adrien Avec Enjakay (Imp Fra). Fair all through for overall breed type. Head, eye and expression all good. Neat well placed ears. Plenty in neck. Ribbing is extended well back; not, however, as compact as the winner. Her tail is set high and stands on god bone with neat feet. Once settled down, moved out ok on the out and back.

3rd Davison, Davison, Tamedale Aurora. OK in head, eye and expression. Plenty in neck with ok front assembly. However, I felt that she was rather strong in body which resulted in her losing her femininity and was giving her handler a hard time on the move.

OB (3)

1 Wilberg, Ch Kanix Rosemarie. Ultra feminine throughout. Pleasing in head which displays correct proportions with length in foreface. Dark expressive eyes all topped off with neat well placed ears. Her neck flows into a clean front assembly with sufficient in forechest. She is ultra short in her back with a level topline which leads to a well set tail with plenty in shelf. She stands on quality bone with neat compact feet. She was sound on the out and back whilst holding a pleasing profile on the go around and was presented in good order. Pleased to award her the CC today which was her fifth and I see she is the dam of the dog CC winner. That’s what I call type judging!

2 Hannar, Hannar, Borovale Jazzmin. Another quality exhibit that is pleasing to go over. Feminine in head which displays good length. Dark expressive eyes. Ears are ok. Good length in neck with sufficient in forechest. She is compact in body with level topline which leads to a high set tail. He bone has quality with neat feet. On the out and back she was accurate. Will continue to catch the eye!

3 Brookes, Zetamaz Drama Queen. Plenty to admire about this one. Head, eye and expression all correct. Plenty in back, well ribbed. Tail set on top with plenty in shelf. Bone and feet good. Moved out well both ways. Completing a trio of quality exhibits.
