FOX SMOOTH LKA 13 Judge: Mr Nick Connell (Sonorra) BEST OF BREED : 6255 SMITH, J, BOYES, E & JONES, K Messrs Am Ch Absolutely Out of Sight (Imp) FOX SMOOTH JUDGE LKA 13 Smooth Fox Terriers Thank you to the exhibitors for bringing their dogs under me, since I last judged the breed I feel they have improved in their quarters, which are better angulated & their front feet, as there were no dogs with feet turning inwards, as we have historically seen in the breed. MPD (1) 1 Saunders’ Galleyshine Black Emperor, decent head & mouth, straight well boned front, level topline & short coupled, moved well in front. PD (1) 1 Mullan’s Chezatree The Show Must Go On at Tamodan, typical head with a nice long refined muzzle & a true expression, super reach of neck into well laid back shoulders, straight well boned forelegs & tidy feet. Level topline with a well set tail, lovely quarters for angulation & muscletone. Moved soundly both fore & aft. BP. JD (3,1a) 1 Thornton, Bebbington, & Turner’s Glendraterra Galileo, very typical from this kennel as he is typy, balanced & extremely sound on the move. Lovely long refined head, with well set eyes & ears portraying a typical expression, reachy neck, into well laid back shoulders & well boned straight forelegs, good spring of rib carried well back to a short loin, level topline & a well set tail. Nicely angulated quarters which are well developed in muscletone for his age. Moved true both ways & covered the ground effortlessly. RBD; 2 Nichols’ Zetamaz Gossip Column. PGD (3) 1 Grant, Griffiths & Hemmings’ Zlatan I De La Rosa, lovely clean head, which is long, with a good length of foreface, nicely placed eyes & ears giving a typical expression. Clean lengthy neck fitting into a text book front assembly, nice spring of rib & a good tail set. Well developed quarters, which are nicely angulated, moved true both ways; 2 Brookes’ Zetamaz Rumour Has It; 3 Rogers’ Lunafox Lucky Devil. OD (1) 1 Smith, Boyes & Jones’ Am Ch Absolutely Out Of Sight, real showman who epitomises type, balance & elegance. Clean refined head, of a nice length, with a well proportioned foreface. His eyes & ears are nicely placed & he looks at you with a real wicked expression. Elegant neck into a super front assembly, as his shoulders are set at the correct angle, with a desired ratio & angle of upper arm onto straight forelegs. Lovely spring of rib carried back to a short firm loin, level topline, with a good tailset & nicely angulated quarters, which are well muscled. Moves extremely soundly, both fore & aft & presented in excellent order. BOB. VD (2) 1 Saunders Star Turn of Galleyshine, lovely head & ears, great neck into nicely placed shoulders, super front angles, level topline with a good tailset. Moved well both ways. It is difficult to believe that this boy is 11½ years old as he is in fantastic condition & is a credit to his owner; 2 Brookes’ Dobelands Touch Of Frost at Zetamaz. GCD (0). MPB (2) 1 Nichols’ Chantalle’s Phantom Thrill, decent head, good shoulders & front, level topline, nicely angulated quarters. Moved soundly when settled; 2 Saunders’ Galleyshine Black Pearl. PB (0). JB (2,1) 1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Strikly Samba, gorgeous bitch who has the most beautiful head, of a good length, with correctly placed eyes & ears, reachy neck into a text book front assembly, straight well boned forelegs, on lovely feet, nice spring of rib & short coupled, very good quarters, which are well angulated & developed in muscle tone, level topline with a very good tailset. Moved very soundly both ways & covered the ground when viewed from side profile. BB. PGB A. OB (1) 1 Brookes’ Dobelands Giggle And Gossip at Zetamaz, head of a decent length, with well placed ears, lovely laid back shoulders & good in front, nice spring of rib & well angulated quarters, covered the ground when viewed in side profile. VB (0). GCB (1) 1 Rogers’ Falkmere’s First Impression, nicely placed eyes, well boned straight forelegs, level topline, with a good tailset. Covered the ground in side profile. NICK CONNELL
