FOX SMOOTH LKA 21 Judge: Mr Malcolm Murray (Yarrum) SMOOTH FOX JUDGE LKA 21 Thank you to the LKA committee for my judging appointment, and to my very able ring stewards, Ellie Morgan and Kay Hateley who made my job a lot easier and kept the classes flowing. A small entry in both coats, but I was well pleased with the overall quality of the dogs. I was however disappointed in the behaviour of one or two exhibitors who by now should know how to accept their placings in a more gracious and professional manner, but this did not spoil my day. 1. Arustamyan’s Chipstead Puzzle of Lorecon. Has a pleasing head and ears, good reach of neck, level topline, presented in nice condition, on the move needs to settle, but standing stood four square. 1. Clifford’s Migley Nemo. Not the strongest of heads and rather long cast, but has well laid shoulders, nice bone and feet and in good condition. 1. McLaughlan’s Nisyros Crossfire at Azrams. A well balanced dog with clean head, good ear placement and of the correct size. Has decent bone and moved soundly around the ring. 2. Icepeak vd Bismarckquelle to Kanix. Has a pleasing head with smart ears, a nice reach of neck running into level topline, has decent bone & feet. A most striking dog but well up to size. 1. Dams’ Tamedale Victory. A well-presented quality dog who didn’t disappoint when going over him. Has the classic Smooth head, arched neck, level topline with short back, a good depth of rib and moved soundly. CC & BOB. 2. Wilberg’s Ch Kanix Quintus. A nice sized, well balanced throughout dog. Level short back, decent bone with good feet and pleasing movement. Res CC. 3. Schoneberg’s Abadene Black Hunter. 1. Grant, Hemmings & Griffiths’ Ch Zlatan 1 de la Rosa. An extremely showy dog who was on tiptoes at all times. Has a clean head, is well bodied and moved well. Presented in good condition. BV.
1. Marston’s Chipstead Petal. A lovely puppy of right size showing plenty of promise, neat head & ears, has enough neck & moved soundly. BP. 1. Kettle’s Foxindean Wild is the Wind. A very nicely made bitch with good head, a pleasing short back, she is showy & sound, stood four square. 1.Vickers & Dams’ Tamedale Topaz. This is a nice type of smooth which this kennel is producing. Head & ears are good, level topline & short back, plus good bone, she covered the ground well. Res CC. 2. Kettle’s Foxindean She’s Got Medals. A neat headed bitch but ears were a little light. Of correct breed size, she is good in all departments, moved and showed with ease. 1. Kettle’s Foxindean Future Legend. A pleasing bitch of good breed type, head & ears correct, nice length of neck, topline level, presented in super condition. 2. Vickers & Dams’ Tamedale Sapphire. Much to admire about this bitch for breed type throughout, but sadly just wouldn’t settle when on the move. 1. Wilberg’s Kanix Quickstep. This bitch looked the part upon entering the ring with her super confident attitude. Has a really good head with correct ears, nice bone & feet, of correct size, she moved soundly around the ring. CC. 2. Brookes’ Zetamaz Crystal Rainbow. Good head & ears, good reach of neck. Level topline, well bodied. Moved well to and fro.
