FOX SMOOTH JUDGE LEEDS 15

Smooth Fox Terriers

I would like to thank the secretary & committee of Leeds Ch Show for inviting me to judge & also thank my stewards for all their help.

PD (4,1a)

1 Morris’ Sanamaris Strange Magic, 10 months white puppy with black head. Well balanced with good topline & tailset. Lovely head with correct ear carriage. Moved well. Just needs to mature & then he should have a bright future. Had no hesitation in awarding him BP;

2 Hannar’s Tamedale Suarez at Borovale, another good puppy with short back, good topline & tailset. Lovely expression. Movement not as good as 1;

3 Griffiths’ Yoxella Wrecking Ball.

JD (2)

1 Averis’ Saredon Patches, good short backed, well balanced dog. Well turned out nice sized dog with lovely expression. Moved well. Should have a bright future;

2 Nichols’ Zetamaz Jules Verne at Chantalle, dog with good eye & feet. Moved well but just a little longer in back than 1.

PGD (2)

1 Ketley & Gash’s Enjakay Split Second, well balanced dog with good bone & feet. Short back with good angulation. Moved well. In good coat. Close decision but today just did enough to award him RCC;

2 Parsons’ Tamedale Caesar on Wistonhill, good eye, ears & head. Good spring of ribs. Needs time to mature.

LD (7)

Best class of the day with seven good dogs & no absentees.

1 Broom & Crouch’s Oaxaca Del Boy with Roxway, smart well balanced dog with lovely expression. In top condition. Well angulated with plenty of bone & good feet. Moved well;

2 Mullan’s Chezatree The Show Must Go On at Tamodan, another well balanced one with short back good tail & head. Moved well. Difficult to choose between these two but just preferred the expression of 1;

3 Jacques’ Residenset’s Hands In The Air for Jacqspot.

OD (2)

1 Smith & Schoneberg’s Ch/Am Ch Absolutely Superstitious, lovely b/w dog who was dancing on his neat feet. Beautiful expression & correct ear carriage. Presenting a well-balanced picture overall & standing foursquare. In tip-top condition. Very happy to give him CC;

2 Griffiths’ Yoxella Wiki Leaks, another good one with dark eyes, good tailset & moved well. Straight front & good depth of ribs. Shown in good condition.

VD (1)

1 Darby’s Ch Starpride Devil In Disgiuse, 7 years t/w dog who still looked every bit a Ch. Well balanced with great expression. In good condition & moving better than many younger ones. I had no hesitation in giving him BV.

PB (5,2)

1 Thornton, Bebbington & Corish’s Glendraterra Blind Date, a puppy I have admired ever since I first saw her & she did not disappoint. Very feminine well balanced picture. Lovely long neck into well placed shoulders. Good topline & tailset. Moved well & showing the liveliness of youth;

2 Hannar’s Tamedale Shakira at Borovale, lovely well-made puppy similar to the first but bigger all round. Good head & topline. Moved well. Does not need to grow on;

3 Morris’ Sanamaris Step Lively.

JB (3,1)

1 Nichols’ Chantalle’s Penny Lane, small b/w bitch with long tail. When her handler got her to stand still she presented a good outline. Moved OK;

2 Arustamyan’s Flair V D Bismarckquelle, much taller & longer backed bitch. Good head topline & tailset. Not showing at her best today.

PGB (4)

1 Crouch, Murray & Horspool’s Oaxaca Racquel, t/w feminine bitch which moved well & stood like a true hunter. In good show condition. She pressed hard for the RCC;

2 Dams’ Tamedale Ballerina, very neat feminine bitch with lovely head. Less body than 1 & movement not so good;

3 Nichols’ Zetamaz She’s Snow Angel at Chantalle.

LB (6,2)

1 Mullan’s Nisyros Climate Control at Tamodan, very well put together bitch with correct head, short back & well laid shoulders. Moved with drive. Pleased to give her RCC;

2 Anderson & Watt’s Nisyros Remote Control, another nice bitch which I believe is litter sister to 1. Very similar to 1 but slightly more of her;

3 Dams’ Tamedale Finesse.

OB (1)

1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Ch Glendraterra Suzi Kew, well-presented b/w bitch full of true terrier spirit. Beautiful topline. Tail up on top. Lovely neck going into well placed shoulders. Moved well. Standing very much like the Ch she is. My star for the day & well deserving of CC & BOB. I gather she was later pulled out in the Group.

VB (2)

1 Harrison’s Adohr Treasure Trove, 7 years bitch with good topline & expression. Enjoying her day out;

2 Harrison’s Adohr Tutie Fruitie, another similar type but slightly shorter in legs. Also enjoying her day out.
