FOX SMOOTH JUDGE LEEDS 21

LD (4 )

1 Wilberg’s Kanix Quintus. Super 11 month old puppy who has type, balance, soundness and showmanship in abundance. This young dog can not stand incorrectly and whenever I looked at him, he stood square and portrayed the essence of a short backed hunter. His head is classic as it is long, flat and refined whilst maintaining masculinity. His expression is correct and he displays a wicked glint in his eye. His neck is long and clean and flows into shoulders which are set at the correct angle and he has the desired ratio of upper arm with nicely boned straight forelegs and a narrow, deep forechest, culminating in a desired Fox Terrier front. His topline is level and he has a super tail set with a shelf behind, and his ribs are carried back to a short loin. His quarters are exemplary as they are correctly angulated and nicely developed in muscle tone for his age. This young star also has the advantage of moving true both fore and aft with correct foot fall when viewed from side profile and is handled by a master to get the best out of him. I had no hesitation with awarding him the CC & BOB and delighted to watch him win The Leeds Puppy Stakes, Terrier Group 4, Terrier Puppy Group 1 and BPIS. Congratulations, although I’m sure there will be many more big wins in the future for this star who appears to have already amassed an ever growing fan club.

2 Robertson & McNight’s Nisyros Crossfire At Azrams. Bigger puppy than first who has a decent head with a typical expression and enough neck into a good front assembly. He has a level top line and a good tail and was presented in good order. Moved true both ways.

3 Nichols’ Zetamaz Just Inked.

OD (3)

1 Schoneberg & Abadene’s Abadene Black Hunter. Nice type who has a long, clean, flat skull with correctly placed eyes and ears culminating in a typical expression. Elegant neck into a correctly angulated front assembly, level topline and a good tail set. His ribs extend back to a short loin and his quarters are nicely angulated and developed in muscle tone. He was presented to a high standard and moved true both fore and aft. RDCC.

2 Brookes & Saunders’ Zetamaz Dream Warrior. Lovely balanced dog who has a typical outline. His head is long and well chiseled with correctly placed eyes and ears portraying a characteristic expression. He has a long, clean neck into a front of desired proportions and his top line is level with a good tail set. His quarters are correctly angulated and he moves true both fore and aft with correct footfall when viewed from side profile. He occasionally has a tendency to pull forward and drop into his front when moving.

3 Wilbert & Wildig’s Icepeak V D Bismarckquelle To Kanix (Imp Deu).

PB (2)

1 Hannar & Hannar’s Borovale Amber. A promising baby who has all the essentials. She has a long, clean flat skull with a proportionate fore face and a good expression. Long, clean neck into a front which is correctly angulated, short and level back with a good tail set and nicely angulated quarters. She moved soundly both fore and aft and maintained her shape when viewed from side profile.

2 Davison & Davison’s Tynefox La Vida Loca. A decent puppy who was not very happy, although she is a baby and experience will foster her confidence. She has a decent head and front assembly, level topline and well developed quarters. She moved soundly behind, but needs to mature and tighten in front.

JB (3)

1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Queen Bea. A lovely balanced bitch who has a long elegant neck, short level back, good tail set and her ribs are carried back to a short loin. Her eyes are of a good size and colour and her head is long, flat and refined. Her shoulders are laid back and her front is well boned and straight and mirror the angles of her quarters which enhance her balanced silhouette. She was presented in super condition, but it was impossible to assess her movement as she went around the ring either on her back legs or pulling side ways.

2 Robertson & McKnight’s Nisyros Rough Diamond At Azrams. Decent head and expression, well laid back shoulders and a level topline. She projects a typical and balanced shape. But lacks the qualities of the winner.

3 Nichols’ Chantalle’s Chilli Thrill.

LB (2, 1)

1 Brookes’ Zetamaz Crystal Rainbow. A lovely type who is elegant, balanced and feminine. She has a long, clean, refined head with a characteristic expression, which is attributed by her correctly placed eyes and ears. Long neck into shoulders set at the desired angle and straight fore legs with good feet. Her back is short and level and she has a good tail set. Her quarters are well turned in stifle with low hocks and nicely developed muscles. She was a little exuberant and when settled to the job, she moved soundly both fore and aft, RBCC.

OB (1)

1 Hannar & Hannar’s Borovale Nameri. This bitch has a lovely head as it is long, flat and refined. Her ears and eyes are correct in placement, size and shape, resulting in a great expression. Her long neck flows into her well laid back shoulders and her fore legs are straight and well boned. Her ribs extend back to a short loin and she has a good tail set. Her topline is a little slack, but does not detract from her overall qualities and her quarters are nicely angulated and developed in muscletone. She moved soundly behind and in front, although a tad wide and was presented in first class order. Pleased to award her the CC and informed this awards her the champion title (subject to KC approval) Congratulations.
