Smooth Fox Terriers

It’s always a pleasure for me to judger Smooth Fox Terriers – & this was no exception. Plenty of quality, especially in the bitches. Many thanks to my stewards.

VD

1 Trellwy Fan Coal, 10½ years, heavily marked dog with good head & good dentition. A little straight in forehand assembly. Sound & still full of interest in life. PD 1 Roxway Estimate, 11 months, smart, short backed dog of excellent balance. Clean head with good foreface & ears. Clean action but could have a little more reach in front. BP;

2 Chantalle Dennis The Menace, 11 months leggier dog who needs to drop into himself to look more balanced. Not the foreface of winner. At a real in between stage.

JD

1 Eskwyre Funtime Frankie, full measure dog who is shapely but I’d prefer him a little fined down, 7 months short backed dog who scores in head & eye & has excellent shoulders in which he scored here. Carrying too much weight & could be shorter coupled. Good mover. Scored in tail carriage & strength of foreface to win this;

2 Nisyros Stormbound at Humeston, 14 months, lovely outline on this dog in pristine condition. Not the strength of foreface of the winner. Short backed. Tail carriage & detracts. Moves well;

3 Roxway Extra Time at Tuskenraider.

PGD

1 Zatamaz Marcel Marleau avec Llyunamill, 2 years old dog of excellent size & proportions with a very good head & ears & expression. Short backed with good tailset but he needs a little more second thigh. However he is a really good mover & holds an excellent topline;

2 Sidewater Some Buddy, 19 months, taller dog who is at a teenage stage & needs to fill out & drop in body. Very good head & excellent outlook. At the moment is a little rangy & needs time.

LD

1 Yoxella Wrecking Ball, 16 months, tall dog who is a little rangy at the moment but he is full of quality with beautiful head & eye & ears & very good quarters. I would like him a little shorter. Beautiful neck & shoulder. Pins slightly in front;

2 Zetamaz Gerard Depardieu, 2 years short backed dog who moved well despite lacking angulation in front. Not the quality in head of winner & his tailset could be better;

3 Chezatree The Show Must Go On at Tamodan.

OD

1 Ch Oaxaca Del Boy with Roxway, appealing most for balance in this class. Short backed with good neck & shoulders & excellent movement. Full of breed type. CC;

2 Nero VD Schonen Bergen, 2 years, beautiful condition & full of quality. I’d prefer a little more neck & his markings do not help him here. Went well with good topline. Scored in quarters & front action here & took RCC;

3 Gr Ch Absolutely Uncensored.

MPB

1 Victora VD Schonen Bergen von Llyvnamill, 6 months, of good size & proportions but needs to fill out in body & this shows in her topline. Could have a little more strength in underjaw & ears need to settle, short backed with good tail.

VB (0).

PB (3)

1 Anderson & Watt’s Nisyros Absolutely Wicked, I am sorry but I have lost my notes for this class.

JB (5,2)

1 Griffiths’ Yoxella Wish List, stood out for me, beautiful outline & balance & doesn’t disappoint on closer examination. Quality from head to tail & a great temperament to show off her movement. CC & BOB;

2 Mullan, Anderson & Watt’s Thunderclap Macaroon at Nisyros, another very smart bitch in great form & shown in lovely condition. Lovely head. Slightly better ears than the winner but not quite the quarters. However she moved really well & pressed hard. The winner had the balance of outline to please me. Two very good bitches;

3 Marston’s Chipstead Pancake.

LB

1 Nisyros Out Of Control, 2½ years, good winner of this class. Full of quality &balanced in outline & with excellent type & movement. Clean feminine head which could have a little more underjaw but I liked her a lot. Showed very well & never looked wrong;

2 Sanamaris Step Lively, 22 months, a bit of an adolescent in body at the moment & can firm up in topline but she has great quality in head & eye & forehand. Needs time to knit together. At the moment the quality is there but she was not as coordinated either standing or moving on the day; 3 L’Magali Du Manoir Saint Adrien of Mossvalley.

OB

1 Zlotty De La Rosa with Yokella, topped this good class with her excellent movement. Good headed bitch of 3 years, of lovely size & quality & moved very well. I’d prefer a little more leg for perfect balance & a touch more bone but has a lot of type. RCC;

2 Mullan’s Nisyros Climate Control at Tamodan, shapely well balanced bitch in great condition. Very good body, bone & feet. She picks her feet up rather too high;

3 Baker & Jones’ Darlaur Delaware to Tuskenraider.
