FOX WIRE DARLINGTON 09 Judge: Mr Martin Sanders FOX WIRE JUDGE DARLINGTON 09 Wire Fox Terriers Just like its cousin the SFT the WFT is extremely difficult to gain numbers for non-specialists. This entry of eight was disappointing, leaving me with just four dogs to judge, although I thank those who entered & gave me the opportunity to judge their exhibits. V & PD (1) A. JD (0). PGD (1) 1 Freeman’s Craigmancie Celtic Warrior, fair dog for type, pleasing head which has good length with strength, eye & expression is keen, ears well placed & used to good advantage, neck of good length. Shoulders a little upright. Topline level leading to good set on. Would prefer stronger bone but his overall construction is good. When he is back in his best jacket will look better. Moved out soundly. BD, saw no reason to withhold this award. OD (1) A. JB (1) 1 Freeman’s Brocolitia Diamond Dust, thank you to this exhibitor for bringing not one but two exhibits. Pretty exhibit, feminine head qualities, keen expression, used her ears well, neck good but would benefit for a better layback of shoulder. Good overall body proportions, good topline & set on. When settled moved OK although was to close behind. In good order. PGB (1) 1 Fentrell’s Harlsey Meg In The Moon, has some good breed points to warrant her place here. Head OK, neck & body, in good jacket, moved out OK. OB (2,1) Despite my disappointment in the entry my spirits were raised when this exhibit entered the ring. 1 Goodsell’s Ch Blackdale Carousel, there is no need for me to reel off her qualities they have all been written & said before except that I thank her sporting owner for allowing me the unique privilege of judging her. In top form giving off her very best, looking a picture of health, immaculately presented as always. An experience if shall never forget, surely she will go down as one of the all time greats of all breeds. My excitement continued as she topped the terrier group & returned to take BIS.
