FOX WIRE NAT DOG SHOW 09 Judge: Mr Dan Ericsson (Sweden) FOX WIRE JUDGE NAT DOG SHOW 09 Wire Fox Terriers A decent entry where I found overall quality better among the bitches. PD (3) 1 Coutts’ Brocolitia Talk Of The North, upstanding dog with long clean head, very good eye & expression, harsh coat, level back, good set-on of tail. Shoulders not so pleasing. Good showmanship. Still needs to drop in body but time is on his side; 2 Bradford’s Flyntwyre In the Blood, short backed mature puppy with very good body & excellent quarters & tail-et, harsh coat in good order, just needs a little more length & quality in head. Rather unsettled on the move; 3 Dyson’s Davwen Lloyd George. JD (3) 1 Bradbury’s Bluwyre Anthony, big stylish dog with tremendous length of neck, long clean head with good eye, very good quarters & he moved & showed really well, just needs to knit together a little & I hope he has stopped growing; 2 Barratt & Walker’s Brocolitia What’s A Brewin’, small dog & still rather immature, good outline, fair neck & shoulders, very good coat & condition, lighter in bone & body than 1, very good ears, needs a lot of time; 3 Russell-Smith’s Dawen Flash Gordon. PGD (4,2a) 1 Frost & Varrio’s Travella Secret Pact, smart short backed dog of excellent type & size, fair head with good eye. Weak in underjaw & shoulders could be better. Good quarters, well presented & in good coat & condition; 2 Freeman’s Carigmancie Celtic Warrior, rangy & not so masculine, very long head. Too light in bone & I would have preferred him shorter coupled. Very hard coat. LD (4,1) 1 Free & Moake’s Blackdale Invader, beautifully presented dog of lovely type, glorious head, eye & ears, very short back, lovely legs & feet. Would like him more positive behind & he needs to develop in body & settle on the move. Looked a picture standing & his overall quality made him win RCC; 2 Pearce’s Alkinra Yes Sir, heavily marked dog & a little long in loin, masculine head of good length with good eye short coat of correct texture, excellent outline. Movement not his fortune here; 3 Booton’s Boowire Tudor Minstrel. OD (5,1) Difficult class with four completely different types of dogs won by 1 Shoneberg’s Diamant vd Schonen Bergen, sizeable heavily marked masculine dog with beautiful neck & shoulders & great stance & deportment, very long head, level back, first class quarters, coat & condition. Would have liked him a little shorter in loin & more collected on the move but overall I found him the best dog here. CC; 2 Heatcote’s Corriecote’s Scott’s Edition, good type & size, fair head of good length, good neck when stacked & he is very sound behind & has a good coat. Would have preferred a more level back & more outgoing showmanship although he moved well; 3 Hill’s Hillrise Special Delivery. PB (2) 1 Maughan’s Brocolitia Pretty Perfect, very attractive baby puppy with lovely head, good neck & shoulders, short back & excellent set-on, a little overawed by the experience but gained enough confidence to win BP; 2 Freeman’s Brocolitia Diamond Dust, very much a baby & still very raw, finer all through & she could have had better shoulders & tailset, hard coat. JB (2,1) 1 Maughan’s Brocolitia Witche’s Brew, lovely type, very feminine & well made with really good head & eyes, short back, excellent outline & movement, just needs time to thicken & develop all over. PGB (1) 1 Dyson’s Tsuselena Dan Xinela Pink Gold at Gallianta, sturdy bitch with good temperament, excellent legs & feet. Presentation could be better & she needs better shoulders & a shorter back. Fair head, easy mover. LB (3,1) 1 Gething’s Whittingford Warm Glow, beautifully presented classy bitch of lovely type, very short back, good length of head with keen expression, excellent body, topline & hindquarters with good tailset, moved well. Failed a little in shoulders & was unlucky to meet the ultimate winner. RCC; 2 Schoneberg’s Diana vd Schonen Bergen, good bitch with hard coat, good body, neck & outline, lighter in bone & not the overall quality of 1. Moved well, fair head with good eye but ears could be better. OB (2) 1 Goodsell’s Ch Blackdale Carousel, absolutely beautiful bitch teeming with quality, glorious head, truly magnificent neck & shoulders & a perfect front, short back, very short coupled, good tail, coat in immaculate condition & she showed like royalty, a great pleasure to judge & one of the best Wires I have ever seen. CC & BOB with a bit to spare & G2; 2 Howe’s Valken Violetta, well handled good bitch with good head, a little longer than 1 & not quite so pleasing in front. Good sound quarters, showed well, very short of coat here which let her down in the challenge. DAN ERICSSON (Sweden)
