GLEN OF IMAAL JUDGE WINDSOR 16

Glen of Imaal Terrier As an advocate for all the Native Irish Breeds I was delighted with the standard of Glens in front of me at Windsor Championship Show. I love these stubborn little dogs with their HUGE personality. Every one of the exhibits were “fit for purpose” Boudivella Oscar & Reserve, Becks Blue for Zippor Miss A Hannington Tobijanski & Romainville Today I choose my Best of Breed from the Junior Dog Class where I found 2 super specimens of the breed (Along with my Best puppy in Breed) These 2 dogs, one Brindle and one Grey gave me the hardest decision of the day, and if I were to judge them again tomorrow I might switch my decision, they really were so close. They were both exceptionally well presented. The winner having a super coat with true movement, covering the ground well, excellent shoulders and ribs. Good head and sound bite, and just the typical disposition needed in a Glen.

The reserve, a Grey, with his fantastic head and correct eye. A beautiful dog on the move with a rise and attitude. Both these dogs are worth watching. Amhard Jessie Jay Mr & Mrs P& D James & Mr J Obrien Lovely feminine Glen, excellent tone and bone, moved freely, strong head and exceptional bite. Very well presented, I think she suffered slightly from being exhibited at the hottest part of the day. Pajantick Razamataz Ms A Hogburn This lad would have been better in puppy class as he was up against 2 exceptional and much more mature and ring savvy boys in the junior class. However, a worthy winner of Best Puppy. A great coat in great condition, fluid movement with the typical rise. He needs to settle a bit, and he will.
