IRISH JUDGE BATH 19

This is always an enjoyable breed to judge. I just wish there had been a few more today. However, I was well pleased with the quality of my main winners.

JD (4)

1 & RCC, Averis & Barker’s Saredon Citizen Smith. 10 mths, what a gorgeous puppy, definitely a star in the making, great coat, body and proportions, quality head, good neckline, topline and quarters, excellent tail set and carriage, showy and co-operative, real class act, well handled and presented.

2 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Wizzard. 12 mths, bit of a cadcap, very lively and full on. Attractive head, keen expression, good outline and tail set, needs to settle on the move.

3 Price’s Magairlin Silver Spur.

LD (1)

1 Simons’ Saredon Red Berry. 2 yrs, up to size, focused on the job, fit and healthy, lovely coat, masculine head, dark eyes, moved and showed quite well, delightful character.

PD (3, 1)

1, CC & BOB, Ruehl’s Darren Al Capone. 2 yr old, ultra smart showy male, beautiful coat and condition, cleanest of outlines, good length of head, flat skull, on his toes and looked spot on today, lovely body and topline, moved and showed so well, handled to advantage.

2 Thomas’ Ch Lead The Way To Montelle. Started off ok and then there was an almighty loud bang which completely put this dog off and there was no way he was going to recover in time. Bad luck as this 2 yr old could hold his own when showing himself properly.

SBD/B (1) 1 S Red Berry.

MPB (1)

1 & BPB, Wortley’s Jarabica Grace O’Malley. Just 6 mths, such a nice baby puppy, just needs to grow on a bit and mature to fulfil an early promise, well proportioned, feminine head, dark eyes, needs to settle, good body and coat, relaxed showgirl putting her best foot forward today.

PB (2) 1 Oliver’s Kerrykeel Aobheann. 9 mths, good make and shape, good length of head, well bodied, moved and showed ok.

2 Bamsey’s Carliams Witching Hour. 7 mths, real baby, feminine head and expression, good body, needs to mature, movement a bit loose presently, sympathetically handled.

JB (1)

1 Ruffles & Williamson’s Holbam Celtic Erin. Yearling bitch standing a bit slack in front, quality head, showy and co-operative responding well to her handler, well muscled and very fit, harsh jacket.

PGB (3) 1 Cooke’s Royal Lady At Montelle. 2 yrs, comfortable winner here I thought. Good head and eye, harsh coat, shapely body, good size and type, moved and showed ok.

2 Wortley’s Jarabica Tiger Lily. Dam of the MPB, good honest bitch, with all the essentials, well fitting jacket, slightly low set tail, could be better in front movement.

3 McIver’s Pinleygreen Golden Rocket.

LB (2)

1 & RCC, Atkin’s Holbam Celtic Summer ShCM ShCEx. 3 yrs, big girl but everything in the right place, marvellous coat, happy showgirl, sound mover, very fit and well muscled, good bone, pleasing head of good length, strong body.

2 Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Whisper At Ruffmar JW ShCM. 4 yrs, not quite in the mood today, showmanship, rather lazy, carrying plenty of weight, attractive head, dark eyes, would like a little more racy in outline.

OB (5, 3)

1 & CC, Pratt’s Saredon Leading Lady Of Terrijay. 2 yrs, very good typy bitch, easy winner here, quality head, dark intelligent eyes, firm body, harsh coat, easy mover, stylish showgirl. This was her third CC, well deserved.

2 Nolcini’s Holbam Celtic Kate ShCM. 4 yrs, could have a better tail set, good body, failed in front movement, could show with a bit more terrier spirit.
