IRISH BOSTON 17 Judge(s): JOE ASHE Irish Terriers JD (2,1a) 1 Brookes’ Turith The Lawyer at Zetamaz, well developed dog, long head, flat skull, strong jaw, good forequarters, deep chest, strong hindquarters, good colour & coat, still has more maturity to come but would not like to see him grow any taller. BPD & BP. LD (3,1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Warrior, 7 months old & has all the credentials to make it to the top & liked him a lot, head of good proportions, correct scissor bite, good front & rear angulation, liked his expression. Time is all that he needs to grow & mature; 2 Atkin’s Gengi Khan, well presented dog, good coat & colour, balanced with good rear angulation, preferred the ears of 1. OD (1) 1 Bradley’s Ch Montelle Carvillius Gold, very elegant masculine dog, head of good length, good dentition, nice dark eye, well set ears, correct forequarters, strong back, deep chest, powerful thighs, moved well, would have liked him just a shade smaller in height. BD. JB (3) 1 Stahle & Nichols’ Chantalles Sweet Mairaed, feminine head, good foreface, small dark eye, nice ear, good scissor bite, fair length of shoulder, good loin, harsh coat, moved well around the ring; 2 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Miss Chief, another nice bitch, close to 1 but I preferred the rear angulation & movement of 1; 3 Atkin’s Holbam Celtic Summer. LB (1) 1 Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Whisper at Ruffmar, quality bitch, good head, dark eye, well placed ears, good dentition, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, straight front, good pads, well ribbed, good tailset, moved well both ways. RBB. OB (1) 1 Barker, Averis & Gaddard’s September Morn on Irvonhill, stood alone but every inch a winner, correct head proportions & dark eye to give the Irish expression, small v shaped ears set well on, well laid back shoulder to give excellent forequarters in balance with the hindquarters. Good colour & coat texture. Best mover both ways, will watch her for the future. BB & BOB. JOE ASHE |
