1 Cookes’ Ch. Star Du Neufmoulin For Montelle (Imp Bel) Stunning dog to look at on the stack being of the correct proportions, of that lovely size and shape. Took the attention as he entered the ring and was so nice to go over on the table. Well, set small kind eyes of correct shape with chiselling under, strong muzzle and lips tight, black nose. Firm long back held well to correctly set and held clean tail. Hindquarters muscular and so sound holding top-line and tail so well on the move with lovely side stride and very sound forward reach and hind drive.

2 Bamseys’ Holbam Celtic Wizard A lovely 3 year-old male I had the privilege to judge when he was just a puppy and then he was so well balanced and built I could not overlook him. Today he has grown into a stunner but had to give way to a slightly younger dog who was very mature and was cleaner in his rear movement. Looked good in his well presented and conditioned harsh, wiry, light red jacket with a good undercoat. Masculine long lean head correct width between his positioned and used ears, lovely expression from his small bright expressive eyes with chiselling under. Balanced strong muzzle and jaw well furnished, black lips and nose. Good neck length well-laid shoulders firm, level backline to set of tail carried upright. Body with enough length with substance and depth to chest brisket, ribcage well sprung back into strong loin with slight tuck-up. Well boned straight legs strong pasterns and tight feet, clean pads. Hindquarters strong and muscular with a moderate return of stifle and strong hocks. Very free forward action just a little close at hock on the rear drive. RCC.

Vet D (1)

1 Atkins’ Gengis Khan very attractive tallish 7 year-old who stood covering the ground well and was in good red coat with a correct texture being harsh and wiry and retaining a good undercoat. Masculine long lean head, good skull width nice ear set, well set small eyes lovely dark kind look with tight lids. Strong muzzle and tight black lips and nose. Still retains that proud look holding his head well on long lean neck widening to his laid back shoulders. Firm level backline of correct length well set tail, erect but turning over on his back. Correctly angulated front and back with straight well boned legs, good pasterns and tight feet, clean pads. Rear quarters well muscled and with moderate return of stifle and short hocks. Moved out well but was close at foot front and rear.

1 Maier & Shakesharfts’ Berwyndogs Bryna, two very similar in height, shape and balance. 1 was slightly more under control than the second. Very pretty little girl with a sweet long lean head well furnished, correct ear set and shape, dark sweet eyes with dark lids, chiselling under her eyes. Balanced foreface good muzzle and jaw. Nice neck length well set into shoulders and firm backline of good length to slight fall where her tail set was, tail was erect, hindquarters with some breadth and tone, return of stifle and short hocks. Forequarters well angulated with enough depth to chest, balanced well boned legs to pasterns and tight feet, clean pads. Delightful solid red coat covering her body, harsh and wiry and well groomed. Head well furnished, legs well presented and groomed. Very sound mover with reach and drive.

2 Mcconnells’ Holbam Shamrock Connie very pretty puppy too just 2 weeks older than my winner and so similar although she was having fun today. Unfortunately on the stance it was obvious that she dipped in her backline. Very well shaped pretty head, nice long and lean, correct skull but ears set too high on her head, but this might change as the head breaks. Sweet expressive small dark eyes, black lips and nose. Good neck shape and length but had been heavily stripped I felt her whole body coat was too stripped out. Whole colour coat of red, was somewhat soft. Head furnishings and legs coating was crisp and presented and shaped. Small feet and clean pads. Once settled this puppy was a nice mover and sound both coming and going.

1 Thomas’ Sunnystone Bright Light For Montelle very stylish and well-built to the standard this 11 months had a fabulous outline on the stance holding her top line firm, and covering the ground well. Beautiful look to her long lean head, ears well, set apart of her skull. Very pretty and built head so well furnished, with small dark expressive eyes under her correctly shaped brows. Super strong muzzle and jaw line. Head set well on good length of clean neck gradually increasing in width to her shoulders, well laid back into her level firm backline to correctly set erect tail. Nicely angulated front and rear of a good body with enough depth, muscle tone and substance, well ribbed back into short loin. Very attractive lean long head with a lovely sweet expression from her well coated small dark eyes, good narrow skull with her well set and used ears. Good muzzle and jaw well furnished. Not the neck length of my winner, good shoulders, firm backline to correct erect tail set on well. Moderately long body with good depth and well ribbed back, well muscled and in good condition well presented rich red coat, good harsh wiry texture. Nicely angled front and rear, legs well boned and coated, strong feet with clean sound pads. Moved out soundly.

1 Mcconnells’ Feegarron Star lovely size and shape to this very attractive 16months youngster. Stood very well on the stack. Beautiful length to her lean head, flat narrow skull well set and held ears. Sweet kind look to her small dark eyes with nice brows, no wrinkle. Nicely chiselled, clean cheeks to good length of muzzle and strong jaw well coated with crisp hair. Head carried on long clean neck widening into shoulders, firm back of correct length, erect tail set on well. Lovely body well angled front and rear, good depth of chest, straight forelegs well boned and tight small clean feet. Hindquarters with good bend of stifle and straight hocks well coated with crisp hair. Body with depth, well muscled with ribs well back into short slightly arched loin. The coat had been a little too harshly presented making her top coat too soft at touch. Very sound mover true breed action, lovely forward reach and rear drive. I am sure this bitch will have a good show career once her presentation is sorted.

2 Holbam Shamrock Connie. I see she is owned by the same people with the same presentation fault in my opinion.

1 Atkins’ Ch Holbam Cletic Summer ShCM. ShCEx This was a quality class of bitches, the winner stood out for me. Sometime ago I judged this bitch, today on the stack she looked to have everything I was looking for, the substance, to be of a racy build, and have a lovely, graceful outline of true breed type, and ongoing over her she was just what I was looking for. She stood and moved very well and worked well with her handler. Such a feminine head, good length and lean, narrow skull well set and carried ears. Narrowing to her beautiful dark eyes under good brows, limited cheeks, well chiselled, strong long muzzle and jaw well coated in crisp hair, black nose. Very proud of herself when she stands and moves holding head well on long lean neck with clean throat, widening at her well laid-back shoulders. Firm level back, well set erect tail. Well angulated front with depth to her chest with width, elbows well in on straight balanced boned legs and small tight feet with clean pads. Lovely body and depth with ribs well sprung back into a short strong loin with slight tuck up. Beautiful flat coat in lovely condition and presentation, solid rich red with harsh texture. Muscled hindquarters, moderate return of stifle, strong straight hocks. Graceful stylish mover covers the ground well with good stride and so sound. BCC BOS

3 O’mearas’ Megacant Red Dancer

VB (5)

1 Nolcinis’ Holbam Celtic Kate VW ShCM smaller type but so well balanced with a lovely, graceful outline. I was lucky to have judged this very nice bitch when she was several years younger, although showing some grey now in her face. Ongoing over her, she had retained her strength, muscle tone and substance. Very feminine 9 year old with a lovely head, narrow skull, well set clean ears, dark expressive eyes still clear, long lean foreface well chiselled, lean cheeks, correct dentition with clean teeth. Good neck length well laid back shoulder, firm backline well set on tail carried erectly. Well bodied with substance, depth and ribs well sprung back into her short loin with slight tuck up. Nicely angulated front and back. Plenty of bone and so well presented coating to legs and tight small catlike feet with clean pads. Also so well presented in a whole colour rich red coat, flat harsh wiry textured with good undercoat. Still could show the young ones how to move, so free and sound with good stride and nice action. BVB BViB

2 Prices’ Sujoncia Dancing Orchid At Woodraith in beautiful condition for her nearly 11 years and retaining her condition of substance, tone and weight, slightly taller than my first but so well balanced and put together, and like my winner looked good on the stack with a nice outline. Feminine head, lean and long with narrow skull and well set and held ears. Small eyes set well apart with eyes retaining colour, well chiselled foreface, strong jaw good dentition. Clean neck to well laid shoulders, level back nice tail and set. Good body still retaining a solid red harsh wiry coat so well presented. Well angulated with depth to her chest, straight well boned legs and tight feet, clean pads. Hindquarters still with muscle tone and able to move out soundly with free action.
