IRISH MANCHESTER 12 Judge: Mr Ivor Hemmings IRISH JUDGE MANCHESTER 12 IRISH TERRIER A good entry for a midweek show without challenge certificates. Several dogs were unsettled by the hall and the overhead air-con blowers working intermittently. I found no bad feet or mouths. PD(2) 1 Bradley's Montelle Vision In Red. Extravert, 10 month dog enjoying the proceedings. Good for type and the correct size, correct expression with good ear placement and dark eye, straight front with enough bone, good tail set and backend, in good coat, nicely presented and handled to advantage. 2 Crehan's Kerrykeel Daithi. Racey 7 month puppy, not so mature as the winner, good head, neck and shoulders, body well ribbed back and correct length of loin, only his second show and both dog and exhibitor need more ring training. JD(1) 1 Grant's Kerrykeel Cormac. Res BD. Well balanced dog with a good dark eye and correct ear placement, would like a touch finer cheek but good expression, good length of neck and layback of shoulders, straight front with plenty of bone, fair length of body to give a racey outline, tail bang on top with powerful backend., in good coat, nicely trimmed, moved straight both ways. PGD(1) 1 Bisset's Kerrykeel Enda. BD and BOB. well balanced dog now maturing into a good Irish. Lovely size with great head and expression, nice length of neck and good lay of shoulders, straight front with good feet, nice length of body with good turn of stifle and plenty behind the tail, really well muscled in fit hard condition. The best mover of the day. OD(6, 2) 1 Rundle's Ch Sidewater The Pretender. Worthy champion of correct size and racey outline, good head, neck and shoulders, tailset ok, not moving at his best today. 2 Atwell's Montelle Mr Sandman At Xanwill. Well constructed Irish, nicely trimmed and presented, unsettled by the surroundings today and did not move as he can. 3 Bamsey's Holam Winslow King. GCD(1) 1 Atwell's Montelle Mr Sandman At Xanwill. PB(4, 1) 1 Goss &Lambert's Kerrykeel Regan. BP. Very promising 7 month old puppy, racey outline and correct size, typical head and expression, good length of neck blending into shoulders, straight front with good body and length of loin, nice turn of stifle, moved straight both ways, could lose a little weight to advantage. 2 Boyle's Montelle Red Vision. Good sized 10 month puppy, not a bad head but spoilt by ear placement, conformation ok and in good coat, in season and affected her movement. 3 Davies' Martelles Why Delilah. JB(2, 1) 1 Esdon's The Dervla At Flashback. Correct size bitch with nicely made reasonable head, but ears could be better, good legs and feet and tail set, moved a little close behind. PGB(2) 1 Atwell's Xanwill Mystical Girl. BB. Now maturing into a nice bitch, racy outline, good head and expression, overall well balanced, moved straight front and rear, well presented. 2 Bamsey's Holbam Tierneys Girl. Another one not liking her surroundings. Good size, head ok but better ear placement would improve her expression, good body and tail set. OB(5, 2) Three nice bitches in different ways and will change places under other judges. 1 Grant's Irish Ch Ticknock Tamarind Breeze. Res BB. Wheaten bitch with the best coat of the day, well trimmed, typical racy outline with a good head, dark eye and correct ear placement, good spring of rib and length of body, moved straight both ways. 2 Rundle's Ch Allatsea Gift Of Gold At Marshcourt. Well balanced, racy outline with a good head carried on a reachey neck, decent body with a well angulated rear end, moved ok but a shade close behind. 3 Bradley's Montelle Leading Light.
