IRISH MANCHESTER 14 Judge: Sandra Grant BEST OF BREED : 1337 KENYON Mr J & Mrs V Wyndam Ciara IRISH JUDGE MANCHESTER 14 Irish Terriers All dogs were shown in very good condition, teeth were clean & feet were sound. PD (2) 1 Bradley’s Montelle Royal Leader, striking head with good ears & expression. Lovely reach of neck, level topline & excellent tailset. Moved out well with drive & bounce. In excellent condition with a good harsh red coat. Definitely up to size. RBD & RBP; 2 Stahle & Nichol’s Shallcome’s Rib Cracker, a real baby with a lovely head & tailset. In plenty of coat & moved well with lots of enthusiasm. JB (0). PGD (1) 1 Bradley’s Montelle Going For Gold, well presented with a harsh red coat. Right up on his toes & moved freely both ways. Good topline & tailset. Head a little heavy for me. OD (4,3a) 1 Anderson’s GB Ch Kerrykeel Eoghan, superb head & expression, elegant neck into well laid back shoulders. Good depth of chest with straight front legs & plenty of drive in his movement. Tailset spot on & in presented in excellent hard condition. I would have liked more animation in the challenge. BD; 2 Lovelace’s Brazan Manatoba, less imposing than 1, but a good sound dog. Up on his toes & moved with drive both ways. Nice front, level topline & excellent tailset. A well constructed & balanced dog; 3 Stahle & Nichol’s Shallcome’s Brian Boru. PB (2) 1 Lovelace’s Allwyn Therefore Brazan, what a charming picture this young bitch made. Lovely head, ears sitting just right giving a typical feminine Irish expression. Well balanced outline, with a good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Tailset spot on, good rear angulation & movement was excellent. Lovely harsh red coat & with a sweet disposition. BPB & BP; 2 Cooke’s Montelle Leading Question, a longer & finer head than 1, ears good & used well. Straight front legs, good tailset & very happy on the move. Movement was rather loose but that was due to her immaturity. Lovely quality red coat. JB (1) 1 Stahle & Nichol’s Shallcome’s Bronagh, a pleasing head with correct set ears. A good depth of chest, straight front legs, level topline, good rear angulation all which gave a balanced outline. Moved well both ways, on nice tight feet & was presented in excellent condition. RBB. PGB (2) 1 Kenyon’s Wyndam Ciara, a bitch with substance but not heavy in any way. Good head, ears & topline. Plenty of muscle showed off in great movement as she powered round the ring. Tailset was correct & her coat gleamed showing her excellent condition. BB & BOB; 2 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Aoife, fabulous head & ears, elegant neck & well laid back shoulders. Moved well with purpose both ways. Shown in good hard condition. For me she seemed rather leggy. OB (2,1) 1 Goss’ Kerrykeel Regan. Fine, elegant head with good earset. Lovely Irish expression. Good neck, shoulders & topline. Moved well both ways. I thought she was shown on too loose a lead & she was let down by her lack of furnishings. SANDRA GRANT |
