IRISH MIDLAND COUNTIES 15 Judge(s): TOM MATHER Irish Terriers MPD (1) 1 Bradley’s Montelle Carvillius Gold, he provided a good start for the breed as he is very typical, masculine & well balanced with long clean head & keen eye. Good depth of chest for a puppy. Harsh, well presented jacket. Moved out with a true, free action. BP. JD (1) 1 Kenyon’s Wyndam The Gamekeeper, shown in great form & condition, harsh jacket. Good head with neat, well carried ears, excellent neck & shoulders, good depth of chest & strong well muscled loin. Very good moving. Alert & lively. RCC. PGD (0). OD (4) 1 Barker & Averis’ Ch Lakeridge Cahal, excels in head properties with a long clean skull, dark eye & neat well carried ears. Strong arched neck & good shoulders. Well ribbed back with strong loin. First class presentation & movement. CC & BOB, I was pleased to see he topped the group under Andrew Brace; 2 Thomas’ Montelle Royal Leader at Sunnystone, I liked his overall balance & soundness, good forehand with decent depth of brisket, fair spring of rib & good topline & tailset. Free moving & presented in good order; 3 Bannister’s Ch Montelle Vision In Red. MPB (4,1a) 1 Bradley’s Montelle Sirona Flame, litter sister to the BP & very much a feminine version of him with the same lively & alert attitude. Typical head & expression, good body for age with decent depth of chest & good loin. Once settled, she moved well. Good harsh jacket which was presented to advantage; 2 Hobson’s Erredwiltsir Irish Bells, not quite the animation of the winner or as settled in ear carriage as yet. Pleasing racy outline. Good neck & shoulders, well ribbed with a good loin; 3 Dixon’s Rooikopjie Peggy Lutti. JB (5) 1 Connell’s Wyndam Nuala at Sonorra, what a good litter this was as I mentally made them all CC quality. Pleasing head with neat well carried ears, good forehand with strong, short straight pasterns. Adequate depth of chest & good ribs which are carried well back. Harsh wiry jacket. Moved well; 2 Kenyon’s Wyndam Roisin, she presents a lovely outline with her good neck & shoulders, moderately long body & strong loin. Very good quarters with hocks well let down; 3 Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Whisper at Ruffmar. PGB (2,1) 1 Marchi-Bartolozzi’s Saredon Golden Girl, not in quite the best of jackets but a soundly made & good quality bitch. Fair length of head, keen dark eye, & when alert she used her ears well. Pleasing for both balance & type. Moved out well. LB (2,1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Kate, very typical & well balanced, moved well both up & down, good neck & shoulders. Harsh wiry jacket. Could be a shade more animated. OB (4,1) 1 Bamsey’s Ch Holbam Pearly Star, headed a good class & she presents a lovely racy outline, good head & keen expression, clean strong neck & well laid shoulders, ribs which extend well back with a good muscular loin. Faultless on the move & has a very good textured jacket. CC; 2 Blower’s Turith Reddy Maid, lovely head & expression with neat ears which she uses to advantage. Good depth of chest & well ribbed with a good loin. Presented & shown to good benefit. RCC; 3 Stahle & Nichols’ Shallcome’s Bronagh. TOM MATHER |
