Judge Andrew Goodsell
I would like to thank the SITS committee for the invitation to judge my first CC appointment in Irish at this very well run show. Thank you to all exhibitors for their entries and good sportsmanship.
SBD (1,0)
1. McConnell’s Tootrock Arcturus. 8 month old top size dog. Long head but a bit too strong, prefer slightly higher ears. Correct bite, good legs and feet. Moved OK. Outgoing temperament, a bit too full of himself, will benefit from practice and experience to settle in the ring.

1. Cooke’s Star Du Neufmoulin for Montelle. Smart promising puppy in lovely condition. Good size, pleasing head, good eye and expression, good length of neck, good body, rear and overall balance, good for bone, moved freely and showed well. BPIS
JD (3.0)
1. Averis & Barker’s Saredon Citizen Smith. Stood out, very impressive top quality young dog with lovely overall balance in superb coat and condition. Exceptionally good bone and substance but still racy. Long clean quality head, small dark eye and good expression. Lovely neck and shoulders, scored for his excellent body and correct length of ribbing. Excellent legs and feet, correct set-on. Super harsh coat texture. Moved freely and soundly. Has ring presence, at one with handler and perfectly presented. Pleasure to judge him, CC/BIS.
2. Nevill’s Norakim An Storr at Rosemonelle. Very attractive confident young dog at an in between stage of development. Nice size, good confirmation all through and moved ok. Not quite the head and substance of 1 but was unlucky to meet such an outstanding dog in this class. Needs time to come together and settle in the ring
3. Tootrock Arcturus

1. Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Wizard Jw. Young dog of quality with lovely overall balance, just needs to finish in body and fully mature to complete the picture. Good temperament, good dark eye. In excellent hard condition, very well presented and handled. Moved ok.
2. Barnes-Hill & Hills Jaffa Cake. A bigger dog, long head but not as clean in head as 1 and ears a little high set. Moved OK.
3. Veillet-Lavallee’s Montelle Design In Gold.
LD (2,1)
1. Simons’ Saredon Red Berry. Very smart well made honest dog all round. Prefer a slightly cleaner head and more consistent use of ears but were moments when he used them and carried them well. Sound mover. Good coat, strong bone, excellent temperament and was well presented.
OD (2,0)
1. Thomas’ Ch Lead The Way to Montelle. Top quality dog, very typical racy picture. Excellent harsh coat with rich colour. Quality head with excellent expression. Good for size and overall balance with good neck, shoulders and correct topline. In super condition. Liked his animation in the ring and was very well handled, moved well enough but thought a bigger ring might be to his advantage on the move. RCC.
2. Rundle & Williams’ Ch Sidewater Sea Fury. Very worthy Champion, good to go over on the table. Showed well but not quite the animation of 1 and affected expression. Long well made head, good neck and shoulders and tailset. Moved well.
VD (1,0)
1. Bannister’s Ch Montelle Vision In Red Jw, Shcm. Well known veteran in lovely coat and condition for age, a credit to his owner. Still has an excellent head, good dentition, good strength of foreface however ears a little unsettled today. Nice overall balance, liked his size. Moved OK in rear. Did everything his handler asked but prefer a little more animation.

1. Averis & Barker’s Saredon Mischievous. Top quality classy young bitch just out of puppy, a delight to judge. Very feminine with a lovely well balanced long clean head with excellent small dark expressive eyes, neat ears well carried at all times giving a correct expression. Excellent clean neck and well laid back shoulders, lovely typical outline. Excellent tailset. Stands well, moved freely and soundly. In excellent coat and condition, showed well. Overall balance, type and quality stood out. CC/BOS.

Not an easy class to judge, all quite different but not much between all 4.
1. Blair’s Montcoffer Truly Love. Although she was not carrying one ear correctly today she gave the best overall picture to me, excellent coat and she moved well.
2. McIver’s PInleygreen Golden Rocket. Liked her make and shape, a slightly better head, ears and expression would enhance her. Moved well. Good tailset.
3. Redman’s Holbam Celtic Little Minx
LB (6, 1)
1. Cooke’s Royal Lady at Montelle. Lovely bitch of quality, so racy and feminine which won her this very good class, lovely long clean feminine head, neat ears with a good expression. Good neck and shoulders, straight front, correct forechest and strong straight topline with correct rise over loin. Out the same mould as her litter brother who won the RCC and like him has an excellent rich coloured harsh coat. Performed well with animation and moved well. In lovely condition. Close up in the challenge.
2. Hobson’s Erredwiltsir Irish Bells. Another lovely bitch of quality, very good head and expression, well balanced with excellent conformation all through. Good outline and moved well. Pushed 1 all the way, but felt the winner was a touch more feminine and racy in general appearance, she was in lovely condition despite I understand not being long off a litter.
3. Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Whisper at Ruffmar Jw Shcm
OB (2,0)
1. Price’s Ch Magairun Admor Queen Very stylish bitch of super quality and balance. Racy. Very fancy long refined high quality headpiece, small dark eyes giving a very classy feminine expression. Excellent neck and shoulders, topline and tailset. In excellent form, moved and performed very well. It was a close call for the CC where she met another outstanding bitch from Junior who had slightly tidier ear carriage on the day. Lovely bitch RCC.
2. Atkins Holbam Celtic Summer Shcm Shcex. Very sound high quality bitch, slightly bigger and heavier than 1, excellent construction all through. Good head and expression, good neck and shoulders, correct length of body. In excellent form, very well handled, performed very well. Very sound mover, should make up.
VB (3, 1)
1. Nevill’s Rosemonelle Isabella. 8 year old bitch in lovely form, a credit to her owners. Soundly made with good substance and a lovely temperament. Ears a little higher than ideal. Moved soundly and freely both ways. Against the veteran dog for BVIS she moved with more drive today. BVIS.
2. Jones’ Montelle Sweet Dream. Another lovely 8 year old in lovely form, again a credit to her owners. Very feminine, good head ears, eye and expression. Prefer slightly better pasterns and feet, not moving quite as well in front as 1 today, lifting her legs a little too high. Lovely temperament.
