IRISH JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 14

Irish Terriers

My thanks to the society for inviting me to judge Irish Terriers with CCs for the first time, also the exhibitors for a lovely entry. All were clean & no cracked pads.

PD (3)

1 Pratt’s Terrijay Sound And Vision, won this class on his movement. Pleasing head, good eyes & ears, nice length of neck as was topline, tailset & carriage;

2 Bradley’s Montelle Strike A Vision, another nice one for shape & size, nice length of head, well set ears, deep chest & well ribbed, tail set & carriage. Not moving so well as 1;

3 Bayliss’ Kerrykeel Oisin.

JD (1)

1 Thomas’ Montelle Royal Leader, alone but worthy of 1st. Strong jaw with correct bite, neck & shoulders, carried himself well round the ring, good drive from the rear. Just needs to tighten in front.

PGD (0).

LD (2)

1 Moakes’ Saredon Lord Of The Dance of Jomoaka, well shaped head, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, well boned & straight front, legs well ribbed, in harsh coat & well presented, moved true. RCC;

2 Rundle’s Sidewater Master Cruiser, not the movement of 1 but nice for shape, neat feet, strong hindquarters, well let down hocks, good coat.

OD (3,1a)

1 Jackson’s Montelle Vision In Red, liked this dog, correct head, small dark eyes giving a true terrier expression, good neck & shoulders, chest deep & body of correct length to well set & carried tail. Well made hindquarters, tight feet, moved out well both ways. Well deserved CC;

2 Hardman’s Drumbilla Diablo Amidst Bonosue, not the head of 1. Good length of neck, correct shoulder placement & body shape. For me I would like him trimmed a bit more. Not so confident on the move.

PB (3,2)

1 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Brianna, I loved this young bitch as soon as she came into the ring. At the moment she is a lovely shape & size, correct bite, neat ears, good layback & feet, harsh coat. When she did settle she moved well. Pleased to give her BP.

JB (4,1)

1 Bamsey’s Holbam Pearly Star, best mover in this class, loved her head with dark small eyes, neat set ears, neck flows into level topline, chest deep, well ribbed, well developed hindquarters, correct tailset & carriage;

2 Lovelace’s Allwyn Therefore Brazan, good dentition, strong jaw, clean front, good bone & muscle & topline, correct tail carriage, nicely presented. Just preferred all round performance of 1;

3 Cooke’s Montelle Leading Question.

PGB (4)

1 Jacobs’ Gilligans Here Comes The Sun, pleasing size bitch, nice length of head, flat between well set ears, good front & rear angles, correct neat feet, coat good as was presentation;

2 H Pearly Star, thought she was going to be my winner of this class as well but for some reason not moving in front as previous class;

3 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Kate.

LB (6,1)

1 Wooding’s Sujoncla Dancing Orchid at Woodraith, a lovely bitch to go over, liked her shape & size, correct head, neck & just enough body, well made hindquarters, correct coat, moved & showed so well. Pleased to give her the CC & BOB;

2 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Aoife, another bitch I liked, pleasing head & expression, another with just enough body & rear angulation, well presented. RCC;

3 Kenyon’s Wyndam Ciara.

OB (2,1)

1 Hemmings’ Kerrykeel Roisin of Courtington, big scissor bite teeth, nice length of neck, chest deep. For me I would like more length of body & better movement in front. In good coat.

Breeder Bradley, moving well both ways & in profile.

KEN BARTLETT
