LAKELAND JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 17
Many thanks for the invitation to judge and to my ring stewards who were efficient, organised and good company. As an overview of the small entry today, I was more than pleased with my main winners and delighted that my BOB went group 2 on the day the puppy also did her part while she stood alone in the breed she also did well in the puppy group taking puppy group 2.
Trimming in some cases spoiled an otherwise decent lakie, and movement in a couple of exhibits could have been better.
Limit Dog (1:0)
1st De Munter, & R & B Deacon Piano Man von Foliny Home â Lovely headed dog with a good coat and sound both ways, showed really well RDCC.
Open Dog (3:1)
1st DCC, BOB & Group 2 Punter' s Lacus One More Time - Smart dog who was on his toes all the time, Lakeland head, nice ears, long neck, well laid shoulder, correct lakie front, good bone, level topline, tail on top with plenty behind, well muscled quarters, put down to the minute in a beautiful harsh coat in super condition, moved soundly from all angles and with correct terrier drive, purpose and animation. His 3rd CC today
2nd Anderson & Watt' s US Ch. Hi Kel Terrydale Too Ray Pay it Forward to Nisyros â when stood this dog looked a picture, decent head and ears, good shoulders, level topline, tail on top and a good shelf behind the tail, good angulation front and rear, movement in profile is very good however he was moving close when viewed from the rear and plaited slightly when viewed from the front, he lacked the final polish and presentation of the winner of this class.
Puppy Bitch (1:0)
1st BPIB & PG2 Ryan' s â Saredon Northern lass at Laketrix - 7 months Decent head ears a touch small, very short coupled, beautiful coat and condition, well presented, a shade upright in the shoulder, tail flat on her back at the moment this may improve with time, moved and showed well.
Junior Bitch (3:1)
1st BCC and Best Junior Punter' s â Lacus Perfect trouble â Really classy bitch, lovely head and expression, good ears, long neck, well laid shoulders, good front, level topline, tail on top good shelf behind, good quarters & rear assembly, sound from all angles just a shade exuberant on the move at times. This was also her 3rd CC.
2nd Kerrigan and Leadbeater' s â Leadstaffs More Than This â A Shapely bitch all round with a decent headpiece in great coat and condition, nicely presented, moved soundly if a bit giddy at times and flying her ears a bit today.
Open Bitch (2:0)
1st & RBCC Greenway' s Rayfos Turning Point â Lovely Lakie Head, nice ears, shoulders could be better laid, Level topline, good strong hind quarters, tailset a shade low , moved soundly both ways, beautifully presented in great coat and condition.
2nd Hetherington' s Maid in Chelsea at Jarot â All round a nice little bitch, head and ears ok expression could be helped by better head trimming, nicely laid shoulders, level topline, tail on top with enough behind, showed really well, she tends to toe in when viewed from the rear, front movement was ok, she could have won the class today but sadly final polish & presentation let her down.
