Pleased to be invited to judge my favourite show. Back movement needs watching and ears were a problem in a few. Heads could be cleaner in some and there is a new trend to have the hair sticking up in front of the eyes, the head has to be flat with clean cheeks.
That said I found some nice dogs & bitches today.
Junior Dog
1st De-Munter`s King Fisher Van Foliny Home, clean front, good shoulders, good topline & tailset, ears a little unsettled, nice shape.
2nd Nightingale`s Orgill Shadow Kissed, Clean head, nice front, tail on top, needs to body up a bit which time will bring.
Post Grad Dog
1st Kenyon`s Wyndam Warrior, nice lakie type, good front, nice shoulder, nice topline, and in grand order. Showed & moved well.
2nd Graham`s Himoor Unchained Melody, good head, clean front, nice shoulder, level topline, tail on top, didn’t like the table but he has time to get used to that.
Limit Dog
1st Davani`s Kebulak Pistols at Dawn, nice red, good head, clean front, correct shoulders, good outline, tail on top, in rare order bit more time & he will get there id say, considered him for Reserve cc.
Open Dog
1st Ch Kebulak`s Man After Midnight, good head & front, good layback, level firm topline, tail on top, moved with real drive, this handlers presentation and the overall type & style of this dog made a very good combination today, a very nice one. CC, BOB, RBIS. Well done.
2nd McCullam`s Glentops Back in Time, smaller dog than one, he could in a perfect world have a cleaner head and a better layback of shoulder, he was however in nice order with a good level topline and mature and sound. Res CC.
Puppy Bitch
1st Smith, Boyes & Jones Saredon Mary Poppins, nice outline, she`s raw which I like to see at this age, shows well on the floor, just needs to mature in body & hair. BP.
Junior Bitch
1st Averis`s Set Fire to The Rain, lovely type, good head & front, good shoulders, level topline, tail on top, just lacking maturity. A nice one.
2nd Johnston`s Oregill Rihanna, nice black, super outline, everything is there, she just needs to body up & get more furnishings.
Post Grad Bitch
1st Kerrigan & Leadbetter`s Leadstaffs Queen of Hearts, clean front, nice outline, tail on top, good coat texture, well handled.
Limit Bitch
1st Whitehead`s Stanstead Dita Von Teese, nice shoulders, good topline & tailset, shelf behind her tail, hard to assess movement as she seems distracted, to be hypercritical, she could have a smaller eye, but its head isn’t fully furnished up and has a lot of hair in front of her eyes which needs trimming flatter, makes a pretty picture.
Open Bitch
1st Johnston`s Oregill In The Buff, best head & ears of the day, flat and clean, lovely clean front, good shoulders, level firm topline, tail on top, nice coat texture, and she is fully mature. Again to be hypercritical she could have more drive behind and have had more furnishings. A well deserved 3rd CC and another champion for this famous kennel.
2nd Schonenberg`s Mieths Tenny Red, in lovely order, clean front, nice outline, tail on top, moves and shows well.
