LAKELAND WELSH KC 24 Judge: Mr Frank Kane LAKELAND JUDGE WELSH KC 24 My first time to award CCs in this breed and it was very interesting for me, it is sad that the breed is now vulnerable with some other trimmed terrier breeds, I replaced Paul Harding who was not well but he is now on the mend I am pleased to hear, thank you to my stewards. PD (1) 1 Richter’s Katarzyna Rainbowlake Private Dancer. 9 months wheaten at his second show and in need of some schooling and some work on his coat, he has a good head with clean skull and strong muzzle and good ear set, at the moment he looks leggy and needs to fill his frame but he has a good topline and tail set and his movement was sound and clean at both ends, I hope he has finished growing and I hope his young owner will persevere with him, BP. OD (4) 1 Averis’ Saredon Revere. 2 year old who stood out here, I liked his size and proportions, all Lakeland in head and ears, shown in good coat, unexaggerated in neck, maximum rib for the breed, smart on the move, DCC & BOB. 2 Blow’s Jodean Tennessee at Coppatrota. Smaller dog who would look more masculine with a touch more body on him, in great coat, excellent clean skull and strong foreface, correct rib, sound rear movement, could be cleaner in front, RDCC. 3 De Munter-Uiterwijk’s Sir Digby Van Foliny Home. SBD (1) 1 Richter’s Katarzyna Rainbowlake Private Dancer. Repeat. BSpB. OB (2) 1 Baldwin’s Ch Robelroy Rashaan. 2 years old, I liked her proportions, a touch long for balance but good couplings which I considered correct for the breed, good skull and eyes, ears could be neater, in excellent coat, very good rear action, stood alone but worthy BCC winner, dog scored for me in top-line and front action.
