Lakeland Terriers

The entry was extremely disappointing with only fifteen dogs entered & only six dogs & three bitches present.

PD (2)

Two pleasing youngsters here for head & outline & both of them moved pretty well both in front & behind.

1 Greenway’s Rayfos Burnt Umber, good head, skull & ears. Good topline & tailset. Good tail & very much better in coat than 2. Correct compact feet. BP;

2 Averis’ Saredon Enigma, not in the best of coats but he too had a very good neck & topline & was good rib & loin. Good smart & compact appearance but failed in coat today.

LD (1)

1 Ensell’s Nujax Kings Road at Nemiah, a very pleasing dog with a typical head & expression with the right width of skull & skull to muzzle proportions. Good eye. Correct in shoulder & moved well in front & behind. Enough coat which could however have been a shade harsher. Correct in stifles. Well balanced & typy & went on to win the RCC.

OD (4,1a)

1 Chong’s Int Ch Saredon Rocket Man, very pleasing in general outline with a good reachy neck leading into a good topline with the right tail & tail carriage. Well proportioned in body. Coat very harsh to the touch. OK in front & moved well enough behind. Good narrow body & correct feet. Went on to win CC & BOB;

2 Munter-Uiterwijk’s Van Weersch Mc Missile Van Foliny Home, very good for head type & good overall type. Good eye. OK in hindquarters & correct coat texture but could do with a little more of it. Better in front assembly than 3;

3 Vickers’ Mieths Toby. GC (0).

PB (2)

1 Greenway’s Rayfos Turning Point, OK in head & neck but moved better behind than in front. Good coat & enough bone. Correct narrowness of body Good in rib & loin. Correct small feet. RCC;

2 Vickers’ The Sweetest Thing at Eskwyre, didn’t quite have the firm topline of the winner standing, & not in the best of coats but very good in tail & tail carriage. Good head & expression & correct small feet.

LB (1)

1 Ryan’s Laketrix Fire Starter, not behaving to best advantage & was interested in everything but showing herself off to best advantage. But she was good for size. OK in head. Coat coming in OK with the right texture. Moved OK behind but could do with a shade more second thigh. Well coupled & good in loin Good small feet. Pasterns OK. CC. OB (4) A.
