NORFOLK JUDGE DRIFFIELD 22

The sun was shining and our judging coincided with the hottest part of the day which made it difficult for a few of the dogs (and handlers too)

Puppy Dog - (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C - Belleville Plum Picker : Looking quite mature for his 11 months and well balanced when stood in profile. Has plenty of bone and substance, good width of skull with well set ears, I liked his dark eye and expression, strong muzzle with good teeth and bite, enough length of neck into well laid shoulders. Front legs straight an set under, and nice to see some forechest, short back firm and level on the move, good turn of stifle giving super drive around the ring. In good hard coat and condition. Best Puppy.

2nd: TATE, Mrs K - Jaeva the Puzzler TAF : Giving quite a bit away to first in this class and still quite a baby, has a promising head, good eye shape and ear set, level back and very good tail set, a happy puppy but he needs a bit more schooling.

Open Dog - (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: GEE, Mrs R - Ch Watercroft Boozy Miller : What a lovely mature male to go over who was on such fine form too and in excellent coat. Quality throughout, well off for bone and substance, has a super head slightly rounded with plenty of width between the very good ear set, dark oval eye which gives a lovely expression, strong jaw and excellent dentition, good head proportions too with well defined stop. Scores in neck and shoulders, level back with short loin. He has a straight front set on well rounded feet, good spring of rib, good rear angulation and he moved low with a firm level topline and plenty of drive from behind. Best dog and BOB

2nd: THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C - Belleville High Life : Another quality male just feeling the heat a little. He has an excellent expression and is compact and well balanced. Great head proportions, strong wedge shaped muzzle, strong teeth, his neck flowed into his shoulders, short back and I preferred his tail set to 1, well presented in coat and condition. Res Best dog.

3rd: HAYDON, Miss Judith - Earthtaw Lincoln
Res: ATKINSON, Mrs M E - Moortop Mymark Again

Puppy Bitch - (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C - Belleville Citation : A real promising feminine puppy with dark sparkling eye giving such a lovely expression, neat ears, medium length of neck, super short back, well set tail, good spring of rib, straight front which she kept on the move.

2nd: GEE, Mrs R - Watercroft Treacle Toffee : Lovely outline, compact and stood really well in profile. Good head eye and ears, correct short level topline, has a rich colour and a hard wiry coat. Not moving as positive as first.

3rd: TATE, Mrs K - Jaeva Puzzle Piece TAF

Post Graduate Bitch - (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: ATKINSON, Mrs M E - Moortop Bobby's Girl : Lovely for size and all in proportion, she was flying her ears around a touch which was a little distracting, lovely front set well under, enough length of neck, shoulders well set, nice short back, excellent tail carriage, well muscled rear which gave her great drive.

Open Bitch - (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C - Ch Belleville Natural High : Good for shape and size and very sound. Has a quality head, dark oval eye and super expression, good width of head, slightly rounded with well set ears. Good neck and topline, straight front showing some chest, good rear angulation and well let down hocks, she moved with ease, straight in front and with plenty of drive from behind. Best bitch.

2nd: GEE, Mrs R - Watercroft In The Que : Feminine and good for size and shape, lovely dark oval eye giving a sweet expression, good neck, topline and tail set, liked her front movement but the rear not so true today.

3rd: GEE, Mrs R - Watercroft Crafty Tipple

Judge : Mick Oxley (Digelsa)
