NORFOLK MANCHESTER 26 Judge: Mr Martin Phillips NORFOLK JUDGE MANCHESTER 26 SBD (1) 1 Thompson, & Pope, Belleville In A Word- 3 year old dog of good size, slightly round in eye, neat ears, slightly straight in shoulder, good bone for size, would like more overall angulation, in excellent coat. PD (3,1) 1 Thompson-Morgan, Belleville Turn The Tables- Very impressive 6 month old dog puppy, certainly my type, lovely head with good strength for age, neat ears and excellent eye giving a good expression. Excellent bone, ok for body for one so young, tail set ok, covered the ground on the move, should go far 2 Gee, Watercroft Sticky Bud- another 6 month old of different type, very raw compared to the winner, well proportioned overall, very nice dark eye, would prefer more bone and substance. JD (2,1) 1 Gee, Watercroft Time Flies- 14 month old male of excellent type and lots to like about him, ok for bone for size, good in front, lovely feet and pasterns, correct spring of ribs with good hind angulation, tail ok, in tip top for, went well, to be critical I’d like a shade more of him. PGD (5,1) 1 Hess & Higgins, Umbrage July In Paris- 20 month old male of excellent type, lots to like about him once you put your hands on him, correct head with nice sized ears, which are set correctly, nice dark eye and good expression. Lovely neck and correct layback and depth of chest, clean in front, ok for body and good topline. Tail set on top, in nice coat, once he settled he covered the ground well. 2 Darnell, & Pointon, Kinsridge Smart Cookie With Jacquidon- Bigger type than first but lots to like, balanced in shape, super head with lovely expression, good dentition, neat ears, would just prefer a better layback in shoulder, strong in body with short loin, good tail, moved ok, in very good coat. 3 Owens, Brickin A Wish Away LD (5,1) 1 Gee, Watercroft Goldfinch- 2 year old red pleasing male to go over, moderate all the way through, correct type and size, pleasing head and expression, slightly heavy in ears, good neck, slightly heavy in shoulder which makes him slightly wide in front on the move. Short coupled, tail set ok, correct hind angulation, and drove well from behind. 2 Smith, Javidel Repeat If I May- Black and tan male, lovely type and shape, correct head proportions with good expression and neat ears, good bone for size, ok for neck and body, correct length of ribs, tail ok, moved out well, would just prefer better dentition. 3 Davis, Watercroft Cosmic Dust OD (2) 1 Gee, Ch Watercroft Easy Tiger- two quality males of slightly different types, but both good in their own rights. Iliked this male for ghis overall balance and type. Lovely head with all the correct proportions required, small dark eye giving that terrier expression, neat in ears, pleasing bone. Clean in neck and shoulder, good spring of ribs, clean in front, enough bone for size, lovely outline and balance, well angulated behind with good strength. Extended front and back on the move, without any overexaggeration, excellent coat, pleased to award him the CC and BOB. 2 Thompson-Morgan, Ch Layhefields Great Ridge By Belleville- Again a good quality champion, lots to like about him, pleasing head, I would like slightly more length of muzzle to balance the head proportions, very neat ears, good eye and dentition. Very pleasing neck, ok for shoulder placement, to be critical I would like a bit more spring of rib. Short in loin, well angulated hindquarters with short hocks, tail set on top, excellent coat, on the move not so steady in front compared to the winner which lost him the CC today. RCC SBB (1) 1 Alman, Namlak Isabella- 16 month old black and tan bitch, very pretty with lots to like. Overall correct size and bone, good head proportions, slightly round in eye but of good colour, slightly high set ears but of good size. Very good body with short coupling, went well up and down on the move. BSB PB (7,4) 1 Gee, Watercroft Sticky Wicket- lovely class of bitches, I liked this little bitch a lot for her overall balance, type and shape, good bone for size, lovely head proportions with a true expression, neat in ears, dark in eye of good shape. Clean front, good body for age, well sprung ribs, short in loin, ok for tail set, a very nice pup. 2 Geary, Germanus Off The Peg, black and tan bitch, liked her a lot, head shape and balance good with correct proportions, nice eye and expression, excellent bone, clean in neck and shoulder, good front, well ribbed body with a good firm topline. Tail set ok, very sound on the move back and forth. 3 Emms, & Emms, Watercroft Sunday Girl With Vioclan JB (7) 1 Gee, Watercroft Stitch In Time- 14 month old red bitch that took my eye straight away, overall a good presence and balance, correct for breed type, with good length of leg to body ratio, good proportions of skull and muzzle, clean neck and shoulder, straight in front with enough bone. Well bodied with good short loin, tail set on top, in good coat, sound on the move back and forth, pressed hard for the CC. RCC 2 Macartney, Nordalset Storming In To Ivrig- 13 month old black and tan bitch, again a lovely type with correct proportions, correct bone for size, lovely head and expression with neat ears, good spring of ribs going into a short loin, good tail, strong quarters, moved out well back and forth. Good coat texture, handled well. 3 Geary, Germanus Off The Peg PGB (4,2) 1 Thompson-Morgan, Belleville Sky Full Of Stars- Overall good size and type, pleasing head of good proportion, would like a better ear placement, ok in neck, ok for shoulders, carrying a bit too much weight at the moment, ok for bone, strong hindquarters, slightly tight in front coming back on the move. 2 Alman, Namlak Geisel- overall a nice balanced bitch with a good expression, clean neck and front, ok for body, in good coat, tail set ok, would like more drive from behind. LB (5) 1 Thompson-Morgan, & Iida, Belleville Scarlet Starlet- 2 lovely bitches of similar type, overall good bone and balance, correct size, pleasing head and eye, clean front assembly, good spring of rib with good loin. Moved out well back and forth, pressed hard for the RCC. 2 Haydon, & Hurrion, Villassa Quota Of Kisses At Earthtaw JW- Similar type to first, another bitch of good quality, excellent type with a lovely head and expression, good neck with good depth of body and straight front, strong in loin with good hind angulation, just preferred the front movement of the winner going round the ring, handled well. 3 Stevenson, Brickin One For You OB (2) 1 Thompson-Morgan, Belleville Counting Stars- Overall a nice quality bitch, liked her for her balance and soundness. Nice expression with good proportion of skull to muzzle, clean in front, pleasing bone, good strong body with a short loin. To be critical I would like a better ear carriage, in excellent coat, covered the ground with ease on the move with plenty of drive from behind. CC 2 Gee, Ch Watercroft Tiger Lilly- Different type to the winner, overall balance ok, pleasing head with a good eye and neat ears would like slightly more infill. Ok in front, would like a better layback and slightly more leg. Good body for size and shape, good tail, in excellent coat, positive on the move. VB (1) 1 Darnell, Jacquidon Nip And Tuck- Lovely 8 year old bitch, surprised she never became a champion in her earlier days, she is so well balanced all the way through and excels breed type. Good head proportions with a very nice expression, liked her front assembly with correct body and short coupling, tail on top and very sound, in top condition for her age. Martin Phillips |
