Bath Championship Show 24th May 2013
Airedale Terrier
A delightful show & a pleasure to judge it. Thank you for your entries, black rims around the eyes need watching as does front & rear movement but there was some nice Airedales on show today.
A Champion`s class is definitely needed before we keep losing more exhibitors in the terrier breeds.
Puppy Dog (1)
1st Hacker`s Sherifs Red Beret, nice ears, long head, clean front, level topline, tail on top. Good angulation. In good coat. BPD
Junior Dog (1)
1st Edward`s Smockalley The Joker, nice ears & eye, clean front, compact body with tail on top, well angulated, in good coat & moved well.
PG Dog (1)
1st Moore`s Jokyl Time after Time, clean front, firm topline, could have a better head, showed well.
Limit Dog (2)
1st Morris`s Nedella The Gambling Man, nice clean head & front, good shoulders, compact & tail on top, could go better in front. In lovely order.
2nd Brown`s Oceanaire Beachcomber, nice front & bone, good topline & tailset, in nice order. A touch nervous today.
Open Dog (3)
1st Turner, Jacksons & Swash Ch Crillee Carry On Commando with Jokyl, nice head & ears, shoulders ok, level topline, well set tail, in A1 coat, showed very well & handled to advantage. CC
2nd Lee`s Ch Stargus Raiden, nice shoulders, compact, tail on top, good rear angulation, looked a little short on foreleg today & out of coat condition. Showed non stop. RCC.
3RD Jackson`s Jokyl Star Turn
Puppy Bitch (3)
1st Hampton & Hall`s Muliebrity Oceana, nice front, compact body, firm topline, tail on top. Moved ok, showed very well. In nice order. BP & PG3.
2nd Fernandez & Purnell`s Muliebrity Rilletta, close decision, preferred compactness of 1, didn’t use her ears as well as 1, but was handled very tightly on lead.
3rd Terry`s Dalesie, Jans Go Girl Go
Junior Bitch (1)
1st Oak`s Starbucks Immy, long head with neat ears, good eye, good topline & tailset, in good coat & showed well.
PG Bitch (5)
1st Jackson & Swash Jokyl Starlet, good head, clean front, nice layback of shoulder, level topline, good tailset, in nice order, ears a bit open today – nice sort.
2nd Turner`s Crillee Carry on Baby, very nice bitch, close up to 1 with much the same attributes, in lovely order.
3rd Lee`s Stargus Valentina
Limit Bitch (5)
1st Calln & Callon-Winn`s Russtam Star Princess, a very very nice one, clean cut head, good eye, lovely ears, great shoulders, compact & tail on top, well angulated & sound. In nice coat & shows very well. Can be a bit unruly at times but she is a terrier. I loved her. She beat a nice 2nd placed bitch too, a prime example of why a ch`s class is required. I could have gave out 4 cc`s in bitches. RCC.
2nd Keay`s Jaymitch Gift Before Dawn, another nice one, lovely head & ears, super clean front, nice shoulders, level topline & tail on top and sound, another id like to take home. liked her a lot & the BOB winner aside was the best trimmed today. In real nice condition.
Open (2)
1st Averis & Kantijevskaja`s Katerina Land Spicy Cherry at Saredon, exquisite head, ears & eye, clean front, good shoulders, nice ribs, level firm topline, good tailset with shelf behind, super quarters, sound & in rare condition. Never moved her ears & so well handled. CC, BOB & Group 1. I was smitten.
2nd Jackson & Swash`s Ch Jokyl Red Ribbons, nice type all though bit dark around rims & could move a touch better in front, nice clean head & good ears, compact with tail on top, in nice condition & showed well. Lots to like about her.
