AIREDALE JUDGE CRUFTS 18

Apologies for the lateness of this critique but as some of you know, I had an appointment with the surgeon's knife a couple of days after Crufts. Firstly I would like to thank the Kennel Club's Crufts Committee for giving me the opportunity to judge their show, albeit a year earlier than planned due to Mr T Huxley being unable to fulfil his judging appointment. My second thank you is to the exhibitors, of whom the majority took the change of judge with good grace. It was disappointing that one exhibitor took their frustration out on social media, but I hope this did not mar the Best of Breed's owners pleasure of winning the breed at such a prestigious show. With regard to the dogs overall standing looked typical of the breed standard but the movement front and rear let some down also a few had dirty teeth but mouths and bites were good. Temperaments, presentation, conditioning and handling were pleasing.
