AIREDALE JUDGE DARLINGTON 19

The entry of just 24 was disappointing and six absentees that took the number of exhibits present down to just 18 – 5 dogs and 13 bitches. I was happy however with the quality of the entry overall, and of course especially so with the top winners. My thanks to the exhibitors who entered.

MPD (1)

1. Toulsons’ Toulsyork Quantum Quinn, a good upstanding dog with a good neck, topline and tailset and with tail carried well. Well muscled behind with good second thighs and enough bend of stifle. Moved better behind than in front. Enough depth of chest for age and enough coat for age. Good eye and ears. Best Puppy.

LD (2)

1. Moules’ Doraemi Buffalo Soldier, better in body shape and proportions than 2 and better in coat. Not so good in tail. Pleasing in head and expression with good skull and correct well filled foreface. Moved pretty well in front and behind. Good clean neck and enough depth of chest. Good coat. Went on to take RDCC.

2. Collins’ Toulsyork King Lincoln, better in tail than 1 but not so good in coat. Could use ears better and head could be slightly more refined. Good neck, firm topline. Correct tight feet. Moved pretty well.

OD (4, 2)

1. Lees’ Mrs L Ch Stargus Santa Rocks, better in skull than 2 and good ears. Correct length of neck. Good topline and slightly shorter in back than 2. Moved OK behind. Tail carried pretty well. Has enough depth of chest and was better in coat than 2. Well muscled behind with good thighs and second thighs. Pleasing in head and expression but could be tidier in front. Went in to take DCC and BOB.

2. Ablard’s Multi Ch Katherina’s Land Vip Lover, not so good in coat and a little bit heavier in skull than 1 but good in neck, topline and tailset. Could do with a shade more muscle behind and could be better in coat. Good compact feet.

VB (1)

1. Steinke’s Wendaire Jokers Zulu Angel, Could be better in coat with harsher texture. Okay in head and expression. Enough neck and moved out OK behind but needs to stand up with a bit more enthusiasm. Good for age with enough bone and enough spring of rib.

JB (4)

1. Callon & Callon-Winn’s Russtam Cherry Bee, I thought stood out in this class although rather immature compared to some in the class but very promising. Excellent head and expression with good eye, correct ears, good neck and firm level topline. Enough bend of stifle moved well behind and okay in front. Good short back. Scored very much in head, expression, ears and eyes. Went in to win RBCC

2. Shields’ Toulsyork Phenomenal at Shielmach, Not quite so short in back as 1 but good neck and topline. Coat coming in well. Good compact feet, enough bone for age. Tail could be better. Plenty of muscle behind, good underline and correct in rib. Good strong foreface and well carried ears

3. Collins’ Toulsyork Pennsylvania 3. Steinke’s Toulsyork Perfectionist at Temtiz

PGB (3)

1. Fearnhead’s Singrett Just an Illusion. Pleasing in outline and OK in head and scored over 2 in coat and front movement. Moved well behind and moved around the ring well. Better in eye than 2 and scored in front movement.

2. Raper & Favell-Raper’s Shadlian Dancing in My Dream good neck and OK in head but could be better in eye which was just very slightly bold. Enough length of neck and excellent topline but didn’t move as well in front as 1 and could benefit from a shade more coat.

3. Thornburrow & Ashcroft’s Sonorra Mistletoe.

LB (4, 1)

1. Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Sun Kissed, Scored in head over 2 moved out pretty soundly in front and behind, very good in coat, excellent neck with good topline and tailset. Good compact feet, enough depth of chest presented good body proportions with correct carriage good ears and OK stifles.

2. Toulson’s Toulsyork Nefarious, not quite the head and expression of the winner and could be slightly stronger in foreface. Excellent neck. Good coat and strode out very well in front and behind. Good tailset and carriage. Enough bend of stifle and enough bone.

3. Thornburrow & Ashcroft’s Sonorra Mistletoe.

OB (3)

1. Iwahashi & Kanaya’s Ch Int Ch Rockridge Jp I Can’t Stop Lovin You, Very pleasing in shape and proportions and therefore good in outline. Was shorter in back than the second and more short coupled, Excellent tail carriage and tailset. Good head with a very pleasing expression, correct skull. Good ears well carried and correct relatively small eye. Good in coat, good bone. Enough spring of rib and moved very well behind with well bent stifles.

2. Edington-Hall’s Wendaire Kissed by an Angel JW, Sh CM, another pleasing bitch. Very good neck and topline. Excellent coat but just not quite the head of the winner with rather longer foreface and heavier skull and needs a shade more fill under the eyes. Pleasing feet and well-muscled behind.

3. Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Enchanted Bay.
