AIREDALE JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 23

I would like to say how honoured I was to judge at the E of E’s last show and congratulate the committee on doing a good job. Thanks to the exhibitors who entered and brought their dogs for me to judge. I must confess that I do find a bold and prominent eye undesirable as stated in the breed standard and there are a few about now. However I did find the temperaments of all the dogs good.

MPD

1 Knight, Steinke and Stokes’ Temtiz Buzz Lightyear at Lelaps. Nice lean head, small dark eye. Straight front, enough neck and well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, good rear and tailset. Nice hard coat developing, just got beaten to BP by his sister who was showing more confidence. BPD, sure he will do well in the future.

JD (2)

1 Turner’s Crillee Carry on the Legend. Handsome dog, long lean head with good ear placement and alert expression. Enough neck into well laid shoulders, good rear and bend of stifle. Nice outline, moved and showed well, pleased to give him the RDCC.

OD (4)

1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Sequel. Smart, short and cobby dog. Long lean head, small dark eye, well placed ears and good keen expression. Enough stretch of neck into well laid shoulders, good topline with well sprung ribs, tail on top, good rear and bend of stifle, moved and showed well, for me the best dog. Pleased to award him DCC and BOB.

2 Grigas’ Rus Nano Sterling Gemstone. Another nice dog, not quite the head of 1, but showing a good outline. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders and well sprung ribs, good rear and tail on top. Well muscled up, showed and moved well.

3 Brown’s Ch Jokyl Daily Special.

MPB

1 Steinke’s Temitz Miss Prim and Proper. Neat head with small dark eye, ears need to settle. Enough neck into good shoulders, tail on top. Moved ok, just needs to mature now but can see she has plenty of confidence which helps a lot with the showing. BPB and BPIB.

2 Wendelberger-James’ Temtiz Hope mit Saffronstars. Very similar to litter sister but ears are a bit flyaway, hope they settle. Neat head with a good expression. Moved well, showing a good partnership qwith handler.

PB 1 Singh’s Russtam Dolly Mixture at Border Bridge. Pretty little white, very much a baby. Neat head, good ear placement, small dark eye. Enough neck into well laid shoulders. Tail on top, movement a bit erratic at the moment (very loose), just needs to tighten up, sure she has a very promising future.

2 Wendelberger-James’ Temtiz Hope mit Saffronstars.

1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Tiger Lilly. Nice feminine bitch, long lean head, small dark eye and a keen expression. Lovely outline, moved and showed well, pushed hard for the CC, pleased to award Res BCC.
