AIREDALE JUDGE LKA 19

My thanks to exhibitors for a nice entry, some absentees as usual, but nice to know some of the reasons may be bringing more puppies into the breed. Overall quality was good, with minor decisions on weight, a little more detail on trimming especially heads could improve appearance, with some giving the appearance of dish face, but when you used your hands on them were not, tail sets were on the whole quite good, movement was the deciding factor in some very close decisions.

Puppy Dog (2)

1st TOULSON’S TOULSYORK QUANTUM QUINN. Almost out of puppy nearly 12mths very mature lad, expressive dark well shaped eye with good length to head and nice set to ears enhancing expression, well ribbed with just the right amount of covering to balance, tail set on top with no problem on the move, full of confidence, handler could not have asked more of him, Best Puppy dog and Best Puppy in breed.

2ND HAMPTON / HALL’S TOUESSROK OVERTURE AT MULIEBRITY. Not quite the maturity of above making the difference, but another well developing youngster at 10mths this boy has a nice length to his head, with just the right amount of distance between ears using them throughout loved his expression, moderate length to neck in keeping with body structure and age, straight well boned legs, tail well up with lovely coat moved without hesitation.

Post/Grad (2)

1ST GRIFFITHS’ SINGRETTS PLAYING WITH FIRE. Nice overall body structure, well in proportions with pleasing head shape would just like a little more length to finish the picture, good ear set and carriage which he used to full advantage throughout, nice bend of stifle with good set on stronger in back quarters which showed on the move.

Limit Dog (2-1)

1ST PURCHON’S JOKYL DRAW THE LINE. Smart boy with plenty to like throughout, good skull with just the right length between foreface and skull, strong jaw with good dentition, lovely ear carriage, clean well-muscled neck into well laid back shoulders and strength in forelegs, short level topline that remained so on the move which didn’t disappoint either way.

Open Dog (3-2)

Close decision different types both top quality

1ST TURNER’S CRILLEE MAXIMUS THE COOL. Despite strong competition from a dog I liked this masculine dog never faltered, strong masculine head shape, with all the right proportions, good length and balance with little difference between skull and well filled foreface, strong jaw ,nice eye with lovely ear carriage, good front assembly, ribs well sprung, just the right covering of bone and substance to balance and give that overall cobby shape, firm level topline on the move with power in the thighs giving him that tad extra propulsion from the rear that gave him the edge today to take the DCC and BOB.

2ND SWASH’S CH JOKYL TRULY NOBLE. Well named, no doubting the sex of this lovely male, came in excellent condition, scores in head with long flat skull, good balance between skull and foreface, well filled with strength in jaw, nice ear set with clean neck into shoulders well laid back, straight forelegs, well sprung ribs, good tail set, no hint of slackness on the move strength in front and drive behind, full of himself and at one with his handler, pushed above hard, just preferred the overall cobby shape of above happy to award RDCC.

Veteran Dog (1)

1ST WEBBER’S SHERIFS RED HOT Sh CM. Lovely coat to this well-loved seven half young man, nice length to head, still good bite, used his ears and eyes keeping on his toes, well bodied with no weakness in bone or substance, nice short back with good spring of rib and strength in forelegs, still plenty of strength in rear quarters which showed on the move as he strode round the ring no hint of weakness Best Veteran dog.

Min/Puppy Bitch (1)

1ST GRIFFITHS MULLEBRITY STARGAZER AT SINGRETT. 6 months baby but didn’t embarrass herself taking it all in her stride, nice shaped head developing with good ear set and she was happy to use them enhancing expression, correct dentition, liked her body shape with bone and substance in keeping with age giving a nice outline, no problem on the move, kept her tail up, she seems to quite like the ring a great asset.

Puppy Bitch (1)

1ST TURNER’S CRILLEE CARRY ON MY BABY. Lovely overall profile to this 9mth youngster, good head shape with balance in foreface clean mouth, nice ear carriage holding them well, liked her neckline with overall body structure in the process of development in keeping with age, ribs starting to spring and bone and substance nicely coming together, back quarters quite firm, kept her topline level on the move, just had the edge on maturity to take Best Puppy Bitch, but nice youngsters.

Junior Bitch (4-3)

1ST RICHARDSON’S GLENTOPS NAUGHT BUT NICE. Lovely all round package this young 17mth lady, well -proportioned head liked her dark eye and strength in jaw, ears well set and she used and carried them well, good length to neck into well laid back shoulders, nice spring of rib and excellent coat, good front action on the move with firm rear quarters

Lovely length to head on this stylish bitch, nicely balanced with skull and foreface, well placed ears with dark eye adding to expression, strong bite, straight front into well placed shoulders, good spring of rib into firm rear quarters, liked her shape with covering to match, moved without hesitation both ways.

2ND FEARHEAD’S SINGRETT JUST AN ILLUSION. Good coat and colour on this pretty bitch, nice head piece, being picky would like a tad more in foreface to finish, good eye placement and ear carriage lovely profile and outline to body with enough rib, bone and covering giving shape and finish, well settled when moving both fore and aft with no problem.

3RD STEINKE’S TOULSYORK PERFECTIONIST AT TEMTIZ

Limit Bitch (3)

1ST CALLON / CALLON-WINN’S RUSSTAM CHERRY BEE. Eye catching full of character this pretty young bitch, feminine head piece without losing strength, flat skull with balanced foreface, and enough fill, correct bite, nice eye and used ears well, good neck into straight front, enough bone on forelegs, nice spring of rib well coupled into rear quarters, really liked her character, handler managed to settle her on the second move to take the class, but given a second chance in the challenge she was still in her playful mood, a real show girl just needs to cooperate at the essential time look forward to seeing her make it.
