AIREDALE JUDGE MANCHESTER 17

Airedale Terriers

As always this show is presented professionally & the group ring, while busy, runs to time.

A delight to judge such a grand entry of dogs.

PD (1) A.

JD (4,1a)

1 Brennan’s Buddonwood Black Jack, 12 month. This boy has a pleasing headpiece, well placed & used ear & dark expressive eye. Flat skull not too broad. Strong flowing neck through bang on topline to high set on, used to advantage. Well prepared harsh coat. He does need to tighten in front coming but shows good drive from the rear on side action;

2 Collins’ Colldale The Outlaw, again only just into this class & so time on his side. Looking a touch more rangy at present than winner. Dry head, long to strong muzzle. Has well fitting neck, firm back & strong, good set on. Just not the side action of winner today;

3 Nelson’s Buddonwood Terrys All Gold.

PGD (2)

1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Levity Lester, this 14 month dog presents a masculine, typical picture. Has a long clean head with small dark, eye with that spark which denotes terrier temperament. Muscular neck, through decent front. Well boned to well padded feet. Good rib & body with short developed loin. Good width of rump with plenty behind tail. Excellent, close, wiry coat, presented to advantage. Sound lively mover, just a little over excited in the challenge & lost his shape;

2 Collins’ Toulsyork King Lincoln, a balanced picture with firm outline, good ribbing & short strong loin. Not quite the width behind at this time. Decent outlook but, for me, would like a touch more length & strength in muzzle.

LD (2)

1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Wish List, good proportions, with typical, masculine head. Flat skull, good eye, clean cheeks & has width of underjaw & power in muzzle. He is up for it, but controlled in foot placement, working with handler to display his typical shape. Correct length of rib & firm short loin. Plenty behind his strong tail;

2 Collins’ Colldale Son Of Adventurer, fit, strong male. Has lots of qualities. In lovely harsh, close coat which is presented so well. He is a touch longer than the winner & could soften in topline at times, but a useful sort.

OD (5,2)

Three quality dogs.

1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Truly Noble, this dog presented type & maturity. His head was long with strength in muzzle, clean cheeks, flat skull & small well placed & used ear. His muscular neck flowed neatly through his lay of shoulder blade to his firm topline, with short, developed loin. Good bone & feet well ribbed. Has width of rump, strong short hocks & drives on to display his attributes. CC which I was told afterwards was his second;

2 Hill’s Crillee Catch Of The Day with Gillaire, this dog is lively, active & presents type & terrier manner. Hands on he is muscular & well put together. Has balance, type & first class presentation. Well deserved the RCC;

3 Hacker & Jenkins’ Ch Sherifs Red Beret.

PB (4)

1 Hacker & Jenkins’ Crillee What A Carry On at Sherifs, while each gave something in this lovely class, this young lady had it all together. She is strong, retaining femininity. Super head with flat skull & dark well set eye & a cheeky expression. Good width of underjaw, housing big white well placed teeth. Lovely balance & in grand condition & dense wiry coat. Pleased to award her BP;

2 Purchon’s Jokyl True Romance at Ellwoodkings, pretty young bitch. Not as forward as winner, but made right so went with true action. A useful sort;

3 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Red Letter Day.

JB (5)

1 Collins’ Colldale One In A Million, displays her type & attributes with her terrier attitude. Fit, sound & developed rib with correct body. Head appeals being long, strong & not overdone. Well padded neat feet, correct bone. Holds her firm outline at all times. Grand coat of good texture;

2 Keay’s Jaymitch Zeeoneandonly, very tidy, well boned, feminine bitch. Looks at you with keen expression & good use of well placed ear. Has width of bum, strong hocks & muscular quarters;

3 McCallum’s Glentops Love Is In The Air.

PGB (4)

1 Edington-Hall’s Wendaire Kissed By An Angel, really got on top of her game in this class & showed her worth, going with sound gait, holding her balanced outline;

2 Edwards’ Saredon Simply Susan at Smockalley, very feminine. Keeps herself together, therefore presents a typical outline. Good behind. Perhaps a touch more underjaw for ideal;

3 Howell’s Jaymitch Under The Stars.

LB (4,1)

1 Lockett’s Saredon Billion Dollar Girl at Jaideld, good eye, dark & with bright outlook, strong underjaw, head long from flat skull & well set ear. Strong dry neckline with good lay of shoulder & straight well boned front legs. Power in body with strength in loin. Width behind, strong set on. Power in firm driving hocks. Harsh coat;

2 Steinke’s Temtiz African Flame Lily, touch stronger in skull than winner. Firm throughout. Feminine with no weakness. Quality coat. Not just putting as much in as winner today;

3 Purchon’s Nedella All Spice at Ellwoodkings.

OB (6,1)

Lovely class.

1 Fernandez & Purnell’s Jokyl Gold Star, caught my eye on entering the ring. This bitch filled the Standard to a tee .in prime order. Coat is gleaming, close harsh & wiry. She knows how good she is & displays her correct construction & type with attitude & verve. Totally balanced, never lost her shape. CC & BOB. A cracker, who did the breed proud to get shortlisted in the good group. Gained her 4th. CC today, feel many more to come;

2 Turner’s Crillee Cool Scarlet, so balanced & her lines say she could be no other breed. As one would expect, beautifully presented & turned out with grand jacket. She worked with handler perfectly & moved with impulsion. Full of quality throughout & well deserving RCC;

3 Jackson & Swash’s Ch Jokyl Simply Red.
