AIREDALE JUDGE RICHMOND 17

The entry was good and we had the best weather on Saturday morning. I really enjoyed judging the breed. No major issues, same old problem with many lacking front reach when moving. Delighted to see my BOB go second in the Terrier Group.

PD (1)

1 & BP, Lee's Stargus Allegro. 8 mths, quality puppy with good bone and body, masculine head, looks at you right, well carried ears, arched neck, cobby body, excellent coat, confident happy showman, moved well behind, still needs to firm up in front movement, bit lazy with his tail on the move, delighted to see him win the terrier puppy group and then finish up runner up BPIS, taking it all in his stride. Good prospect.

PGD (1)

1 Collins' Colidale The Outlaw (ai). 20 mths, shapely body, good outline and tail set, clean neck and shoulders, pleasing head, moved and showed quite well.

LD (4)

1 Atkinson's Jokyl Party Popper. 3 yr old masculine, short backed dog with strong body, well boned, typical head, well carried ears, on his toes, showed well, good coat texture, moved ok.

2 Lee's Stargus Santa Rocks. 20 mths, neat coat and condition, quality head, keen, intelligent expression, well sprung ribs, moved well behind but messing about in front today, well presented and handled.

3 Toulson's Toulsyork Levity Lester.

OD (8, 1)

Excellent class, most enjoyable and challenging to judge.

1 & CC, Hjelm & Von Koch's Fin Swed Dk Est Ch Big Lady's Iron Duke. 6 yrs, full of the joys and clearly enjoying his moment in the ring, animated showman, sound, active mover, great temperament and attitude, all male head, muscular neck, firm body and topline, strong, well muscled hindquarters, well presented coat, real stallion.

2 Hill's Ch Crillee Catch Of The Day With Gillaire. Two and three quarter yr old quality dog, very well turned out, good length of head, neat ears, good neck and shoulders, excellent quarters, fit body, well fitting coat, responsive showman, went well.

3 Jackson & Swash's Ch Jokyl Wish List. Completed an excellent trio of good champions.

VB (1)

1 & BV, Steinke's Wendaire Jokers Zulu Angel. Seven and a half yrs, feminine head, lovely dark eyes, intelligent expression, very ladylike and calm about it all. Good reach of neck, firm body, moved ok but lacking a bit of showmanship, perked up a bit in the challenge when she had some company.

PB (5)

1 & BPB, Johnstone's Jacadie I Am Hot Spice. 8 mths, naughty but nice, feminine head and outlook, needs more beard to complete the picture, strong body, good neck, moved well once she got into her stride, should mature into a nice bitch.

2 Toulson's Toulsyork Nefarious. 7 mths, another having a ball playing her handler up! Big body, well ribbed up, good head, dark eyes, well presented, needs to calm down in front movement, lively.

3 Burkin's Saredon Gretal At Raffinato.

JB (1)

1 Jackson & Swash's Jokyl Red Letter Day. 13 mths, not firing on all cylinders here but not much fun on your own. Keen expression, used her ears and neck when something took her interest, good body and bone, well fitting coat.

PGB (10, 3)

1 Turner's Crillee Carry On Maybe Baby. Good honest bitch of 20 mths, attractive head, dark eyes, neat ears, strong body, well presented coat, fit and well muscled, showed well, a bit lazy with her tail when moving.

2 Jeffreys' Jaymitch Winnie's Zee One. 19 mths, good neckline and depth of body, good length of head, steady showgirl, not moving as well as first.

3 Hylton's Colldale One Vision Of Touessrok (ai).

LB (4)

1 Edington-Hall's Wendaire Kissed By An Angel JW. 20 mths, good type, clean silhouette, moved well, better front than most, keen expression, well carried ears, stayed alert and interested in everything around her, good bone, coat and presentation.

2 Turner's Jokyl Star Struck. Nearly

3, short back, good reach of neck, feminine head, excellent coat, well bodied. Not the front movement of first. 3 Collins' Colldale Adventuress Girl.

OB (4, 1)

1, CC & BOB, Fernandez & Purnell's Ch Jokyl Gold Star JW. Two and a half yrs, lovely bitch with gorgeous head, eyes and expression, so well balanced, no exaggerations, everything fits perfectly, good neck and topline, short coupled, harsh jacket, beautifully presented and handled, stylish showgirl, plenty of drive behind, looked an absolute picture.

2 Iwahashi & Kanaya's Int Ch Uk Rockridge Jp I Can't Stop Lovin You. Shapely bitch of good type and quality, good bone, legs and feet, pleasing head, well sprung ribs, firm body and topline, showy and co-operative, well handled and presented.

3 Ablard's Int Ch Dk Ch Lux Ch Croat Saredon First Alexandria.
