AIREDALE JUDGE SOUTHERN COUNTIES 14

Airedale Terriers

I thought a few lacked ‘spirit’ & didn’t show themselves off as well as they might. Some very promising puppies entered. I was generally impressed by how well muscled most were.
PD (3)

3 very promising pups to start with, all being very playful – just a pups should be.

1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl The Party Line, he has a lovely head, flat skull, super jaws, correct eye & expression. Well set ears. Lengthy neck. Best front action in class. Well ribbed back. Firm in topline. Coat coming in on sides of body. Well set, fairly straight tail. Good rear. Still a little loose in front. A lovely prospect. RCC & BP;

2 Toulson’s Toulsyork Idiosyncrasy, has a masculine head of good length. Lovely eye, ears can settle. Lengthy neck. Just a bit better coming towards than3. Can firm in his topline yet. Well set tail. Good turn of stifle with low hocks;

3 Lee’s Autograph Warrior to Stargus.

JD (3,1a)

1 Brook’s Clydebrook Spiced Rum, very good moving masculine dog. Has a lengthy head, well carried ears, just a little bold in eye. Scored in neck & shoulder over 2. Correct depth & width of chest. Ribs go fairly well back. Strong rear;

2 Turner’s Crillee Catch By Surprise, just slightly too deep in head, dark eyes, flat skull. Chest to his elbow. Firm topline. Has a good turn of stifle & low hocks. Fairly accurate out & back.

PGD (3,2)

1 Collins’ Colldale The Hero, better head of these 2 & shorter in back. Ears could be better. Has a lengthy neck, well laid shoulder. Needs more depth & fill of chest, which was reflected in his front action. Well sprung ribs with a short loin & hard topline. Enough hind angulation. Very good jacket;

2 Stuart’s Garland It Could Be Magic, once got going has a lengthy stride. Could be leaner in head. Good length of neck. Holds a level topline. Well bent stifle & low hocks. Could be more accurate out & back. Coat slightly soft.

LD (1)

1 Hacker & Jenkins’ Sherifs Red Beret, masculine dog in hard condition. Could be slightly cleaner in cheek. Correct eye shape & colour. Has a lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder, chest is OK. Level topline. Well sprung ribs, short loin, well set tail. OK rear. Just kicks up at rear, but good coming towards.

OD (2)

1 Sorraghan’s Aust Sup Ch Oldiron Flame Thrower, showing well, certainly well up on his toes. Would like a better head, it is a little broad, & eye slightly bold. Lovely neck. Well laid shoulder. Correct chest & body. Short, firm back. Well set tail strong rear. Comes into his own going round the ring. CC;

2 Brown’s Oceanaire Beachcomber, preferred the head of this dog. Good eye, clean skull. Liked his neck. Chest to elbow. Fairly compact body. Strong rear. A bit half hearted about showing. In good jacket.

PB (5,1)

1 Lee’s Autograph Seeker for Stargus, up on her toes. Feminine head, which is still to finish. Liked her eye & expression. Well set ears. Lengthy neck. Shoulders could be slightly better laid back. Well ribbed, chest well developed for age. Holds a firm topline with well set tail. Well bent stifle. Shows a lot of promise;

2 Toulson’s Toulsyork Ha Ha Hope, another promising, feminine bitch. Her head also needs time, super eye & expression. Long neck. Needs a little more front angulation. Topline should firm with time. Well set tail. Good turn of stifle & low hocks;

3 Collins & Francis’ Colldale Into The Night.

JB (5)

1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Simply Red, compact in body with a very good head. Could use her ears more. Lovely eye & expression. Lengthy neck. Pretty good shoulder. Well sprung ribs, correct width of chest. Could be shorter in loin. Has a well set tail. good turn of stifle. Could be a bit tidier out & back, although plenty of time for this to improve. She has a very nice stride;

2 Haly’s Vivavick Tittletattle, just a year, she has a super coat. Feminine in head. Lengthy neck. Can just stand slightly slack in topline at times. Well set tail. Has a well developed chest, liked her loin. Could have slightly more hind angulation;

3 Keay’s Jaymitch Jaunty Panachon.

PGB (4)

1 & 2 were very close, each with different things going for them. Winner just used her ears more & had a better topline. She is shorter in back, but not quite as good in shoulder & front action as 2.

1 Turner’s Crillee Cool Scarlet, liked her clean head. Super eye & expression, uses her ears all the time. Lengthy neck, has a moderate lay of shoulder. Chest to elbow. Well set tail. Enough turn of stifle. Uses rear well;

2 Terry’s Daielsie Jans Go Girl Go, liked her length & strength of skull. Well set ears, just a bit lazy with them when it mattered. She has a long, clean neck. Well laid shoulder. Just a fraction long in back. Could have slightly more chest. Good rear;

3 Hilton’s Colldale High Flyer of Touessrok.

LB (7,1)

1 Fernandez & Purnell’s Muliebrity Rilletta, very honest sort of bitch who is very typical, if top size. Has a lengthy head, eyes OK, uses her ears well. Good strength of muzzle. Liked her length of neck. She has a well laid shoulder. Chest to elbow. Would like a slightly shorter loin, although holds a firm topline. Enough turn of stifle with low hocks. Good out & back & has a nice stride. Puts all in & in excellent coat. CC & BOB;

2 Haly’s Vivavick’s The Royal We, liked the outline of this bitch, could just have a little more angulation front & back & be tidier on the move. Fair head, flat skull, dark eyes. Has a lengthy neck. Chest to elbow. Short in loin, topline OK. Better type than 3;

3 Edington-Hall’s Wendaire Jokers Angels Kiss.

OB (6,1)

1 Sorraghan’s Aust Ch Oldiron One In A Million, she has a lovely outline & moved the best in this class. Liked her head, ears slightly low set. Clean cheeks. Flat skull. Lengthy neck. Could have better shoulders. Firm & level in topline. Well set tail. Well made rear. Not in greatest coat, but furnishings harsh. RCC;

2 Johnstone’s Jecadie Dipped In Spice, liked the outline of this bitch. Feminine & clean head. Well set ears. Has a good neck. Could be a bit tighter in elbow stood, but moved OK. Topline OK. Well set tail. Liked her rear;

3 Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Oceana.
