PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE BLACKPOOL 24

Thank you to the Blackpool committee for the invitation to judge, and to the exhibitors who made the effort to show their dogs under me. It would be dishonest of me to say I was happy with the entry numerically, but there were several bitches that I would have been more than happy to award a CC to, with some very close decisions.

OD (2)

1 Ch Mindlen Hendricks at Cassjoebar (Casson) Well presented and handled, very good head of excellent type with good eye, ear set and size. Plenty of neck, good bone, narrow straight front. Good topline, nicely balanced. Up to size but still spannable. Sound Mover DCC.

2nd Ir Ch Woodloch Ikenna of Stonemartin Ir Jch (O’conner & Young) Another up to size dog but comfortably spanned, strong masculine head, a touch heavy in ear. Okay for neck, would prefer better lay of shoulder but return of upper arm okay. RBD

PB (2)

1 Bellvalley’s Copperhead (Evans) Mature pup, that is very eye catching. Very good size, quality wedged shaped head. Good length of neck, correct topline, well set and carried tail. Excellent weatherproof broken coat. Good bone, very good feet. Shown in fit hard condition. Comfortably spanned BP

2 Cassjoebar Chunky Monkey (Casson) Promising pup of very pleasing type. Feminine head that still has some developing to do. Good length of neck, well made front, good ribbing and topline, moved well when she settled.

JB (3)

1 Bellvalley’s Savage Love (Evans) Youngster of real quality who I believe will get even better as she matures, excellent size, lovely outline and very well balanced with no exaggeration. Feminine head with good strength to jaw, typical expression although she could use her ears better at times. Excellent neck, shoulder and topline, comfortably spanned. Standing on good legs and feet. Well handled and presented in very good coat and condition. Sound movement coming and going and very good reach and drive once she settled. A pleasure to award her the BCC and BOB.

2 Scapegrace Faenor (Aspell & Dixon) Pleasing sized bitch, with a good outline when standing, sadly losing it on the move today. Good shape to head, ear set and carriage a little lose. Good neck and front, good ribbing, comfortably spanned. Balanced angulation.

3 Mindlen Talla Trout (Roberts & Murray)

OB (2)

1 Bellvalley’s Kissed by Fire (Evans) I gave this bitch best puppy last time I judged and she has fulfilled her promise. Very elegant bitch turned out in excellent condition. Very good head, neck and shoulder. Well made front, good ribbing and topline, spannable. Excellent profile movement covering the ground well. Quality all through just would prefer a little less of her.

2 Ch Mindlen Moccasin (Roberts & Murray) A worthy champion of very good type. Striking head with correct expression and ears. Good reach of neck leading into well made front. Good through body, moderate and well balanced. Very good coming and going.

VB (1)

1 Chadbrook Elka (Mccluskey & Young) Lovely bitch of excellent size and very sound mover. Quality head and ears ears, good reach of neck. Comfortably spanned with good length to ribbing, short firm loin. Neat front standing on straight legs and good feet. Very well balanced, moved well all ways. RBCC BV
