PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE BORDER UNION 12

PARSON RUSSELL TERRIER

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for a lovely day although the weather was against us and it was quite boggy under foot we managed to use the outdoor ring before the rain came. Having not judged in the UK for the last nine years I must say the breed has not improved that much, on the whole size coats and movement caused a little concern, on saying that both the best dog and bitch could stand their ground under much stronger competition.

PD (1)

1 Rimmers Kylini Celtic Tiger. Super young puppy dog 8 months old not quite finished in the head yet but I am sure it will only get better, well placed ears, full dentition, good pigment, super length of neck leading into a well placed shoulder, tail well set on lovely bend of stifle, easy span and good harsh coat, although it took him a little to settle on the move he moves with drive holding his topline well. This young fellow is so well balanced and I am confident he will have a great future. I had no hesitation in giving him the Best Dog and Best Puppy.

LD (2,1)

1 Johnsons Garsayno Magic Man. Strong headed Tri colour, good ears and full dentition, good front, strong neck, short coupled, good pelt and harsh coat, superb size on the right side of the measure with enough bone, easy span, moved OK, would like a little more length to complete the picture.

OD (1)

1 Roberts & Murray Pacolito Prymeval. Strong headed dog good ear placement, full dentition strong neck, good pelt easy span good length and well placed tailset , good bend of stifle and strong rear quarters, moved well behind, unfortunately not in the best of coats today Res BD.

PB (1)

1 Liddells Lyonmill Daydream: Very feminine bitch, lovely dark tan head, full mouth, lovely pigment, another on the right side of the measure, good pelt and super coat, strong front and bone, good length, and strong quarters with a good bend of stifle, moved well when settled, would prefer a better topline to complete the picture, I am sure she has a promising future.

JB (1)

1 Roberts & Murray Pacolito Milarki. Superb tan head, well placed ears, good pigment full dentition, strong neck and well placed shoulder, good pelt and easy span, good length and strong quarters with good bend of stifle, tail well set on and carried well on the move, moved a little wide from rear and not wearing the best of coats today, but I am sure when she is full coat will stand well with the best, Res BB.

LB (1)

1 Liddells, Janes Lass at Lyonmill: Strong headed tan bitch a little long in muzzle, well placed ears, good length of neck leading into a good strong front, good pelt and easy span, one of the best coats of the day, good length of back, strong rear quarters, moved well when viewed from front ok behind.

OB (1)

1 Roberts & Todd's Chataway Careless: Very feminine bitch with a beautiful tan head with the most beautiful expression, full dentition and good pigment, well placed ears, good pelt and easy span with a good coat, good strong neck of good length leading to a well placed shoulder, superb front, good length of back and strong rear quarters and good bend of stifle, tail well set on. This young lady moves with drive and purpose and is the right side of the measure, I had no hesitation in giving her BB and BOB an absolute pleasure to watch her in the group, I was told afterwards she already has 2CC's and I am sure her third wont be too long in coming.
