PARSON JACK RUSSELL BOSTON 15 Judge(s): MRS K A SMITH DO YOU WISH THAT THE KENNEL CLUB WOULD PUT IT'S OWN HOUSE IN ORDER? PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE BOSTON 15 Parson Russell Terriers I would like to thank all the exhibitors for entering under me & accepting my placings most graciously. I enjoyed my task enormously & I hope that everyone present enjoyed the day as much as I did, it was a pleasure to go over a quality entry of Parson Russell Terriers. Temperaments were all sound, coats clean but there were some long nails which does throw the shape of the required small compact feet. There were also some teeth that needed a clean but generally presentation was very good bearing in mind it was a difficult time of year for coats. I was very pleased with my winners & the latter bitch classes were well filled with quality right down the line. Some nice dogs sadly went away cardless. I was proud to see my BOB placed 2nd in a quality champion stakes class. PD & JD (0). PGD (1) 1 Hall's Frithgarth Magic Sandpiper, I always love to see a fit, well muscled terrier & this chap was. Very straight & sound coming & going, unfortunately lost his topline on the move slightly. Strong, masculine head with very good dentition, well pigmented eyes & well placed ears. Up to size & not his in best jacket today sadly but showed & handled very well. OD (5,1) 1 Vaughan's Ch Parruss Comanche Chief, a lovely dog to go over. I very much liked him for size & type. Not overdone in any way. Beautiful head with dark, well shaped eyes & small correctly carried ears. Strong enough jaw & teeth with correct bite. Good length of neck into well laid back shoulders. Correct topline, rise over the loin, tail set & carriage. Strong well muscled hind quarters. Super coat & pelt. Easy to span. He is lovely & straight coming & going on the move & still very much enjoys striding out in the ring. Showed his socks off in both challenges to deservedly be my BD & BOB; 2 Blair & Hadley's Cleeve Hill Kasper, Stronger & taller dog all round than one but equally straight in front & behind. Masculine head with super pigmentation & strong teeth & jaw. Lovely neck & shoulder, rise over the loin into well set on tail which he carries correctly. Adequately angulated hindquarters which he used well on the move. Would prefer less depth of chest. In correct jacket with good pelt. Showed his socks off & handled expertly. RBD. PB (1) 1 Rimmer's Kylini Mona Lisa, very pretty nearly 9 months old bitch of super size & type. Beautiful head with dark keen expression & ears that she uses to her advantage. Good length of neck into well laid back shoulder & correct topline & rise over the loin. Tail set on & carried well. Coat coming through but of good texture & thick pelt. She showed & moved enthusiastically, just needs to tighten up. A promising young lady. BP. JB (1) 1 Rimmer's Kylini Magical Myst, another very pretty bitch of lovely size & type. Alert, keen expression. Lovely, feminine head with small, well placed ears & dark eyes. Mouth correct. Very fit & well muscled. Well off for length of neck which flowed into correctly laid shoulders. Topline & tailset correct & she used her well muscled quarters to move positively round the ring. Good to span. Pelt good, just short of coat today. PGB (10) Super class. 1 Tinegate's Milvanae All Aboard, very feminine young bitch which still has some maturing to do but I loved her for her size & type. Beautiful wedge shaped head & dark eyes. Ears could be a touch smaller. Good length of neck which flows into well laid back shoulder & correct topline. A correct rise over the loin under some excess coat. Good tailset & carriage. In super coat & condition with a thick pelt. Easy to span. Lovely well angulated quarters which she used well on the move. Pleased to award her RBB; 2 Brown & Grange's Afinlea Speckled Wood, a larger bitch than I would prefer but still retaining her femininity & still spannable. Pretty, well shaped head, correct eyes & ears. She tends to lean back into her quarters when stacked, not helping her topline but when she moves, she really pulls herself together showing off her good front & hind angulation giving a lovely outline & she really strides out which won her 2nd place here. She too was carrying a super coat & pelt; 3 Baker's Pacolito Redesigned. OB (7) Another strong class. 1 Baker's Ch Pacolito Phirstedition, judged her before & haven't changed my opinion. She is a strong bitch of good proportion with little to fault. She has a beautiful length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Correct topline, tailset & carriage. Well angulated quarters which she used well on the move both in profile, coming & going. In super coat & condition. Spannable. Pleased to award her BB; 2 Sutton's Ch Pacolito Maid a Phortune at Springbeck, this bitch is super for size & type. Very happy disposition & in good muscular condition. Feminine, well shaped head with a lovely dark eye. Lovely neck into correct shoulders & topline with rise over the loin. Good tailset & carriage. Spannable. Moved & handled very well, just short of coat today. K A SMITH |
