PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 17

I would like to thank the committee for inviting to judge this wonderful breed, and also my stewards who helped me and the sporting exhibitors for showing me their dogs. I had a lovely day and enjoyed judging very much.

PD (2,1)

1 Foster and Fuller Hoolmark Paleface. Just 6 months old, oh dear! wouldn't stand/show very well, a real happy fidgety little boy - typical puppy which I would expect to see. Nice wedged shaped head, good scissor bite, the coat was harsh and had a loose pelt, spannable.

JD (1)

1 Bigland Heythrop Taggert also Reserve Best Dog. A nice badger hear, good wedged shaped, a very good scissor bite, nice length of neck into the lay of the shoulders, good loose pelt and spannable, and he moved very well.

PGD (2,1).

1 Pell Pipinsbrook Mr. Happy at Olliebark. A very nervous young lad, but once he settled he was OK. Very nice head, good dark eye, nice reach of neck, good harsh coat with a loose pelt, spannable. He moved in the ring beautifully.

OD (2,1)

1 Bigland Ardencote Tutor with Heythrop also Best of Breed, Best Dog. What a lovely 2 year old, very nice tanned head, with strong muzzle, well set ears, good length of neck sloping into the shoulders, nice topline, good length of stifle very good loose pelt, spannable and moved well in the ring by striding out.

VB (1)
1 Neild Logierait Little Lotte also Best Veteran. What a pleasure to go over this bitch again, I met her in her first ever open show and she has come on in leaps and bounds. Nice feminine head, good teeth and scissor bite, nice topline, spannable. Happy little dog, great on the move.

PB (1)

1 Neild Logieait Lambie Lalley also Best Bitch and Best Puppy. Beautifully marked tri head, good wedge shape, dark almond eyes that follow your every move. Good size, nice topline, good coat, moved well in the ring and was very alert even when show standing. When up for the challenge, there was real spark that I couldn't miss, which said me as I looked them up and down, in fact she worked for this, and she deserved this award.

JB (1)

1 Bigland Heythrop Tidie. First of all I would like to say what a very pleasant and polite young handler, I discovered afterwards that she was Mrs Bigland grand daughter; she is a very good handler and gets the best out of her dog. Good head, nice scissor bite. Dark almond eyes, good ear set. Nice length of neck, good coat, spannable. Moved well in the ring.

PGB

1 Hughes Ruffntuff That Was So Close also Reserve Best Bitch This is a very nice bitch, good head with a nice expression, nice loose pelt, good tail set and nice rear angulation, moved well in the ring. In the challenge she didn't seem as alert as she was in her earlier class, although the owner put her heart and soul to try and perk her up, so if these two were together on another occasion they could easily switch places.

GCB

1 Walls and Barker Prima Donna Roxy Cool. A 7year old, nice feminine head, very good ear set, good coat, moved well in the ring.
