PARSON JACK RUSSELL CRUFTS 14 Parson Russell Terrier Judge(s): MRS L ROBERTS PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE CRUFTS 14 Parsons Russell Terriers Firstly I would just like to say that I was so honoured to be asked to judge at Crufts, I relished every moment & it is an experience I will never forget. Thanks to all the exhibitors who entered their dogs under me I appreciate the time, money & effort it takes to prepare a dog for the ring. The KC are preaching ‘Fit for Function’ I find it so frustrating when some quality PRT are ignored in the Group Ring, I find it ironic when the PRT is one of the very few breeds in the group which can & still does the job it was intended to do. As usual there was more depth of quality in bitches as there were in dogs. Mouths on a whole were good, & most exhibits were well presented & in great hard condition a credit to their owners. Size is definitely getting better & most exhibits were spannable. I much prefer to see the breed freestanding rather than being stacked. VD (2) 1 Hall’s Frithgarth Jack Frost, top sized dog 8 years of age, strong head straight front, well off for bone, nice length of back, harsh thick coat moved OK; 2 Chapman’s Foxwarren Tomass, workman like terrier who denies his 10 years, really enjoying his day out in fabulous condition preferred the earset, length of back & movement of 1. PD (4) 1 Jones’ Neelan’s American Dream, strong quality puppy with a masculine head, punishing jaws, keen eye & neat ears. Narrow straight front with good feet. Spans well nice coat & pelt. Needs to settle on the move but saw enough to award him the class; 2 Chapman’s Foxwarren Picasso, smart very eyecatching showy dog Different type to 1. Lovely narrow front.
