PARSON RUSSELL CRUFTS 17 Parson Russell Terrier BOB CH ALNCROFT I SPY Bitch Owner: MR M A, MRS K A & MRS M L SMITH & MOON PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE CRUFTS 17 Parson Russell Terriers VD (5) 1 Davies’ Goldfern Grand Lad, nice overall size, showing signs of age at 9 years but managed to span OK, nice expression, good jaw, clean front, well angulated quarters, moved with ease; 2 Farrow’s Ch Glenholm Happy Go Lucky, another of good size & just managed to span, straight front legs, tended to stand with back legs a little straight in stifle; 3 Hall’s Frithgarth Jack Frost, just carrying a bit too much weight for me. Good head & well set eye, portraying good & keen expression. MPD (2) 1 Storey & Kelly’s Pacolito Simply Strategic, outgoing youngster, confident & keen. Nice size & balance presenting attractive profile. Good head shape but a little heavy ear. Well angulated rear producing good drive; 2 Newport’s Digaden Pitch Perfect, not as forward as 1, but when pulling himself together a different picture emerged, good expression from well balance head, clean long neck, spanned with ease, a little loose in front movement. PD (0). JD (4) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Protolythic, nice outline, clean & balanced, nice head shape, good bite, well set ears, good topline with well set tail, super harsh coat, tended to overstretch rear end at times, moved OK 2 Nunes Pinto Afonso’s Tumble’n Twirl Ringo Starr, a little playful & not always helping handler, nice head proportions; 3 Davies & Davies-Wood’s Pacolito Protostart, a little narrow in front, nice body, loose in front movement. YD (1) A. PGD (5) 1 Aspell & Dixon’s Logierait Loki, outgoing & aware, nice overall size & shape, good head & expression, clean straight front, good length of body & spanned OK, moved out well; 2 Pohland’s Plappermaulchen’s Rhythm & Blues, heavier made type, good head, ears & eye, nice body proportions; 3 Rutter’s Boultmoor Badge of Honour, flat skull, dark eye but a little long in body for me. LD (10) 1 Young’s Chadbrook Roux, nicely balanced & of good proportions, liked outgoing temperament & attitude, very good head, correct bite, neat well set ears, clean cut front, well made shoulders & front construction, good body & topline with well set tail, in good coat, moved out with purpose. CC; 2 Bigland’s Ardencote Tutor with Heythrop, good head & expression with good mouth, nice neck & shoulders, just holding on to coat, moved out well; 3 Smith’s Digaden Top Hat & Tails, would prefer to see him carry his tail a little higher to bring more balance to the body. OD (14,2) 1 Price’s Ch Rymshott at Andralok, quality dog whom I have previously awarded top honours to, balanced without exaggeration or coarseness presenting strength & substance in compact frame, well made head, good ears, correct bite, good neck & shoulders, spannable body, moved well. RCC; 2 Wilson’s Ch Pacolito Highly Prized at Dragonmoor, good breed type example, liked overall size & shape, good head with well carried ears, nice neck, super coat, moved OK; 3 Rimmer’s Maanmainion Doubleshot over Kylini, good overall shape & size & in very good coat, tended to be overstretched in rear which detracted from topline. GCD (3,1) 1 Rutter’s B Badge of Honour; 2 Farrow’s Glencymreig Two In One, would prefer a little more strength in muzzle to bet better head balance, well bodied, a little loose in front movement. VB (7) 1 Liddell’s Jane’s Lass at Lyonmill, 8 years old & retaining shape well, not always cooperative with handler, spanned OK & moved true; 2 Bigland’s Ch Heythrop Tiadrop, nice type throughout, not as positive in front movement as 1; 3 Newport’s Pacolito Xceptional, good eye & awareness presenting good expression, nice body proportions, well made hindquarters. MPB (1) 1 Matthews’ Digaden Coloratura at Springcurl, alone but worthy winner, would like more attention to presentation to make the best advantage of attributes. PB (3) 1 Chalkley’s Ardencote Tullah, feminine appearance & no doubt will only benefit from further development & maturity to finish the picture, good head & ears, clean outline, well made body. Did not put everything in on puppy challenge; 2 Bowden’s Chellowside Skylark, up to size for age, nice head shape, managed to span ok, rear movement lacked a bit of drive; 3 Porters’ Deglacobs Simply The Best from Pacolito, pleasing head but tended to stand a little narrow in front. JB (6) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Protocol, feminine appearance & well put together & demanded attention, liked overall balance, good head & expression, well bodied, good bone, moved with style. RCC; 2 Newport’s Digaden Just So, nice head, good mouth, clean straight front with good reach of neck, nicely bodied; 3 Fooy-Van Roosbroeck’s One More of Lovealoch, up to size & strongly made throughout, good length of body with well set tail. YB (8) 1 Porter’s Pacolito Italian Phaze, workmanlike & appealing to the eye, nice profile & held together well on the move, good wedged shaped head with well set & carried ears, nice neck & shoulders, powerful hindquarters producing good movement, good coat; 2 Citton’s To The Stars & Back, nice size, good head, detracted from appearance by standing too wide in front, good body proportions; 3 Bigland’s Ardencote Teach In with Heythrop, wedge shaped head with flat skull & shallow stop, nicely made body in great coat. PGB (9,2) 1 Whiteley’s Sonateeka’s Perfect Image, & a nice image presented, liked overall size & shape with clean cut lines, well balanced head, neat ears, dark eye, good expression, well bodied & well set tail, moved out well; 2 Fooy-Van Roosbroeck’s Bumblebee Mysia Zaglada, longer cast than 1, nice head but I would prefer little less heavier ears, in good coat, moved well; 3 King’s Bramarno Woodvylle Wyth of Riosett, nicely proportioned & well angulated but not always 100% on the move. LB (14,2) 1 Smith & Moon’s Alncroft Tussle, smart appearance & handler performed well to get the most out of her, feminine throughout with good balance & substance, good head with neat ears, clean front, well made body, moved out well. Not quite the same performance in the challenge but I am sure her day will come soon; 2 Baker’s Pacolito Proto, nice shape & outline, well made shoulders, coat not at it’s best, moved well; 3 Tinegate’s Milvinae All Aboard, nice size, head of good shape but would like smaller ears, moved well. OB (14,4) 1 Smith & Moon’s Ch Alncroft I Spy, not difficult to understand the Ch title in front of her name, & I have previously awarded her top honours & today I had no reason to change my mind, feminine appearance & good breed characteristics throughout, handled well to compliment the quality of this bitch. CC & BOB; 2 Rimmer’s Ir Ch Kylini Mona Lisa, very nice type, liked head & expression, well made body, moved true; 3 Hooley’s Ch Hoolmark Belle Star, another worthy champion to complete a trio of fine breed examples, in very good coat & moving with purpose. GCB (2,1) 1 Pell’s Olliebark That’s My Girl, head of good shape but low set ears did not help expression, well bodied & in good coat. MAX KING |
