PARSO RUSSELL JUDGE DRIFFIELD 16

Parsons Russell Terriers

First of all I would like to thank the Driffield Society for inviting me to judge & also the exhibitors for letting me see their dogs, after a foggy start the day turned out lovely & I had a wonderful day but sadly unable to stay for the group judging due to work commitments.

PD (1)

1 BP, Davies-Wood’s Pacolito Protostar, nice head, with a good scissor bite, the neck good length sloped into the shoulder, had a good coat with a loose pelt.

JD (0).

PGD (1)

1 RBD, Minett’s Pacolito Second Edition to Rountfelly, I liked this boy, he certainly moved well, very nice coat & a good loose pelt, good wedge head, strong scissor bite, nice almond eyes with a keen intelligent expression. Good length of shoulders well laid back, loin slightly arched, certainly had plenty of drive.

OD (3,1a)

1 BD & BOB, Rimmer’s Maanmainion Doubleshot over Kylini, this is a cracking dog, he was spannable, moved really well, looked as if he could run with the hounds all day, I liked this boy very much. Perfect wedged head, almond eyes with a good ear carriage & perfect scissor bite, shoulders laid back, cleanly curt at the withers & his topline was good with the loin slightly arched, tailset was good. Very good coat with loose pelt;

2 Sturdy’s Alncroft Imperial, had a nice head, but short in the neck for my liking. Afraid not spannable but he moved well in the ring.

GD (0).

PB (2) & JB (1) A.

PGB (3)

1 Laird’s Mindlen Freyja, spannable, nice topline, good head, good coat & moved very well;

2 Shelton’s Boultmoor True Delight, had a good coat with a loose pelt, nice drive, lost to 1 as she had better movement;

3 Sturdy’s Alncroft In Time, had a very nice head, good wedge shape, nice coat with loose pelt, only could just span her afraid she did not move very well.

OB (5,1)

What a lovely class this was.

1 BB, Moon’s Ch Alncroft I Spy, I liked this girl, good wedged shaped head, nice scissor bite, good length of neck into sloping shoulders, nice length of topline with a slightly arched loin, she was definitely spannable & she moved very well & could run all day with the hounds, which is what she was bred for;

2 RBB, Rimmer’s Kylini Magical Myst, I also liked this girl, good wedged shaped head but lost out to 1 as her head is beautifully marked, nice scissor bite, good length of neck into sloping shoulders, nice length of topline with a slightly arched loin with a good tailset, she was definitely spannable & she moved very well & could also run all day with the hounds, which is what she was bred for;

3 Minett’s Rountfelley Beajewelled, doesn’t time fly, I saw this bitch in her first ever show, afraid she had stiff competition today, she is still fantastic, good movement in the ring & she showed beautifully, I can’t fault her.

GCB (0).

For my BOB. I liked both dogs but the dog had a beautifully striking marked head, & that for me stood out as they were both perfect.
