PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 12

Parson Russell Terriers

PD (2)

1 Rimmer’s Kylini Celtic Tiger, smart & sound, short coupled, full of himself. Too much ticking in coat & his ears need to settle. Otherwise very promising;

2 Baker’s Pacolito Phirstprize, taller with more width of ribbing which is a bit worrying for a youngster. I preferred his strength of head & muzzle. Out of coat here. Moved OK.

JD (2)

1 Tagg’s Hoolmark Razzle Dazzle, very similar to 2 in PD, rather too tall for age, coat needs to harden & he is a bit overbroad in chest. Super head, ideal markings, sound mover.

PGD (6)

1 Newport’s Digaden Playing Away, lovely type & quality of the best, pleasing head, muzzle slightly shorter than backskull, very strong with broad jaws, ideal size, easy span, ears set well, very sound & true moving. Would like a straighter tail. Good thick coat. Half brother to 1 in LD;

2 Bigland’s Heythrop Tailwind, nice exhibit. Moving very cow hocked going away but otherwise close up. A wee bit down on feet & pasterns. Super head, strong neck, easy span, well boned for size;

3 Brown & Grange’s Afinlea Ratzer Ringlet.

LD (4)

1 Newport’s Digaden Playing The Field, upper limit perhaps, but spanned OK. Excellent coat, strong head, clean cheeks, well placed ears, enough neck to protect his feet, short strong back. Would prefer a straighter tail, but set on is OK. Good mover all round;

2 Broadberry’s Ratscallion Tactical Move, good Parson, appealed for head & eyes set nicely in. A little stuffy in neck & a fraction too deep in chest. Well coupled, neat well muscled rear & true moving;

3 Bowden’s Nado Shiz’s Tacoma X-Runner to Pacolito.

OD (6)

Good class indeed. Some worthy champions here.

1 Vaughan’s Ch Parruss Comanche Chief, super to go over, hard & fit as were all in this class, good size & balance, liked his head, eyes set nicely, good terrier expression, hard topline, excellent rear, tail set perfectly, good legs & feet, ideal Parson movement with some extension. CC & BOB;

2 Smith & Moon’s Ch Alncroft Blackthorn, top notch boy, shows himself off beautifully, really well muscled up. Maybe not quite the neck of 1, but size, coat & outline are very pleasing. Excellent mover. Sire of the bitch CC. RCC;

3 Swift & Parr’s Spellbert Captain Jack.

PB (6)

1 Swift & Parr’s Pacolito Phirstedition, would like her a touch smaller, but she is strong & quite fit for her age. Super head, excellent bone & feet, nice proportions of height to length, well set tail, correct pigment. BP;

2 Bigland’s Pacolito Phinal Phling, skin & coat could be in better condition. Super size, well developed in body & bone fore age. Moving all over the place, but an occasional snatch of good movement gave her 2nd on type, size & proprotions;

3 Hooley’s Hoolmark Boppin Robyn.

JB (3)

1 Bigland’s Araceta Beatrice from Pacolito, lovely to go over, fit as a fiddle, good head, broad jaws, slightly shorter muzzle, ears set nicely, easy span, good topline with slight arch over loin, sound & free when she is allowed to move out, in good thick jacket. RCC;

2 Collis’ Riplington Black Cherry, tough looking bitch, hard to ignore. A bit over ribbed & not such an easy span. Excellent mover all round, good height to length proportions, pleasing rear, good second thigh length, correct expression. Sire won RCC;

3 Whalley’s Araceta Black Velvet.

PGB (3)

1 Collis’ Riplington Blackberry, nice bitch, maybe eyes could be a little smaller, but they are not too prominent. Good neck, OK front. A bit too much ticking on body. Tail well set at about 1:30, moved out nicely all round. Sister to 2 in JB;

2 Lewis & Samwys’ Cassacre Red Duster, heavy eared, smooth thick pelt. A touch over ribbed. Good bone, correct topline. Tail could be straighter perhaps. Moved soundly, well handled.

LB (7)

1 Smith & Moon’s Alncroft I Spy, smart & fit, ideal size & span, pleasing head with good proportions of foreface to backskull, ears set well. I would like a mite more layback of shoulder blades, but she moves well coming towards. Super body, perfect tail set & carriage, really powerful quarters, in good coat & thick loose pelt. Sire won the RCC. CC;

2 Swift & Parr’s Spellbert Captain Alvilda, ticking showing through coat more than I like & not quite the easy action of 1. I admired her head & neck carriage, good topline, slightly arched loin, OK in rear. Tail could be straighter. Half sister to BP;

3 Broadberry’s Windynook Rhythm Is A Dancer.

OB (10)

Interesting class.

1 Newport’s Digaden Glamouruss, liked her size & super coat, pleasing head, broad jaws, good legs & feet, excellent topline, moved well. Maybe just could do with a little more neck to protect her feet;

2 Swift & Parr’s Ch Pacolito Picture Monkey, very ticked over body & a little over ribbed. Good strong legs, tight feet, enough rear angles, good depth of chest. Just could be a mite narrower;

3 Smith & Moon’s Alncroft In Gold.
