PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE LKA 14

Parson Russell Terriers

Thank you to the officers & committee of LKA for kindly inviting me to judge & for their hospitality on the day which was very much appreciated.

I was very pleased with my entry & its quality & I had some very tough decisions to make on the day. Thank you to all the exhibitors for this entry. It was particularly good to see my BOB shortlisted in the group.

MPD (1)

1 Stark’s Rymshott Sorted for Gobannium, stood alone but very worthy of his first place. A puppy well up to size with plenty of bone, but very well balanced & easy to span. Lovely strong head & good bite. Nice dark eye & earset. Very fit youngster who confidently moved very well both away & back. Just needs time to settle.

PD (1)

1 Bigland’s Heythrop Touchofclass, again stood alone but worthy of his first place. A puppy with a good bite, good dark eye & earset. Has a very good coat & pelt & good tailset. Has good angulation without any exaggeration. Moved OK.

PGD (4,2a)

1 Smith’s Tubize Mr Sizzle, lovely tri dog with nice narrow front. Good strong head, teeth & earset. Good coat & pelt. Provided a very pleasing outline. Moved out well both in front & rear movement;

2 Rutter’s Boultmoor Badge Of Honor, a nice strong head, good teeth & earset. Good coat & pelt. Looked slightly heavy over shoulders but had lots of coat & was spannable. Moved out well & very well handled.

LD (5,2)

1 Robert’s Spellbert By Gone Times, a dog shown & handled so very well. Lovely dog to go over, good strong head, good bite & good earset. Nothing exaggerated about this dog & very balanced. Good coat & pelt. Nice narrow front, good tight feet. Moved very well both away & back;

2 Newport & Baker’s Sweetjumper’s Gentle Twister, another good dog presented so well by his handler. Good strong head, good bite, correct earset. Good coat & pelt. Very well balanced & moved well;

3 Hall’s Frithgarth Sandpiper.

OD (5,1)

What a class to judge, such excellent quality along the line & a privilege to go over them.

1 Price’s Ch Rymshott Samo at Andralok, a fit ready to work terrier who showed his socks off. Tan headed dog who was shown free standing. Great head, good dentition, lovely eye, good earset. Lovely lay of shoulder leading to a strong back & good tailset. Good angulation front & rear & moved so well both forward & back. Good compact feet. Good coat & pelt. Was pleased to award him CC & BOB;

2 Vaughan’s Ch Parruss Comanche Chief, another quality dog who was presented in great condition. He has a lovely tri head, good dentition, with a keen eye & good earset. A great coat & pelt. Everything flows in this dog with no hint of exaggeration. Very well handled. Pushed so hard for the CC. RCC;

3 Roberts & Todd’s Ch Chataway Primate.

VD (1)

1 Hall’s Frithgarth Jack Frost, can’t believe he is 9 years old. Has a good strong head, good bite, lovely dark eye, good earset. Heavily coated today which makes him look heavy in his shoulders but was spannable. Again a dog without any hint of exaggeration & a credit to his owner. Lacked a little enthusiasm on the move, having said that his movement was good. Was pleased to award him BV.

MPB (1)

1 Blake’s Pacolito Phlutter, this puppy was rather unsettled on the table but I was able to go over her thoroughly. Had a nice feminine head, good dentition & good earset. Good coat & pelt & very nice tight feet. Moved well when settled.

1 Vaughan’s Bull Brother’s Regal Ruby Parruss, lovely tri bitch 11 months old with nice head, good dentition, good coat & pelt, moved out well & very expertly handled. BP;

2 Roberts & Murray’s Mindlen Amgrantah Teasel, a lovely feminine 8 month old & a very happy puppy who never stopped wagging her tail. Good dentition, nice dark eye & good earset. Good coat & pelt, good balanced movement & maintained a good topline & tailset on the move. Very well handled & free stood;

3 Gray’s Mudgi Meadowcroft Matilda.

JB (4,1)

1 Storey & Kelly’s Pacolito Phardante, lovely bitch in great condition & so well presented. Nice feminine head, good dentition, good earset. Good length of neck, maintained a good topline & tailset on the move. Moved well both away & back. Nice narrow front. Good coat & pelt;

1 Sutton’s Alncroft Maid An Issue at Springbeck, headed up a very strong class. She is a very feminine bitch, who has such lovely ring presence. Good dentition, dark eye & good earset. Maintained a good topline & tailset on the move covering the ground effortlessly. Good coat & pelt & very well handled;

2 Bull’s Rymshott Goggles at Aurgwen, another quality feminine bitch. Good dentition, nice keen dark eye, good earset. Good coat & pelt. Maintained a good topline & tailset on the move. Had good angulation with no exaggeration. Very well handled;

Nicely proportioned, narrow front, good angulation front & rear. Moved effortlessly & maintained correct topline & tailset. Was pleased to award her CC & she pushed hard for BOB;

2 Collis’ Ch Riplington Black Cherry, another quality feminine bitch. Lovely shape of head, good dentition, nice dark eye & good earset. Presented so very well on the table & in the line up. Well balanced on the move & covered the ground effortlessly. Good coat & pelt. Nice tight feet;

3 Newport’s Digaden Secret Affair.

GCB (3,1)

1 Nixon’s Gonetoground Go For Gold, handled so very well by her junior handler. Lovely feminine bitch with good dentition, nice dark eye & good earset. Very balanced bitch who moved out well. Good coat & pelt;
