PARSON RUSSELL LKA 23 Judge: Mrs J Miller (Feorlig) PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE LKA 23 A lovely invitation to judge Parsons at the LKA at their new venue Staffordshire Agricultural Centre, in Stafford. Nice big ring with a good surface. It was so pleasing to have such a very nice entry full of quality dogs and bitches. I was impressed by the overall quality, type and the soundness of the breed. I was pleased with my winners and my final few were outstanding for their type and breed quality. Thank you to all who entered. 1 Hooleys’ Forgefox Roll The Dice At Hoolmark very attractive puppy of 9 months well built and bodied for his 9 months. Nice wedge shape to his nicely marked and coated head, with a good drop forward to his well shaped ears, nice dark eyes with character and alertness. Nice clean neck of good length into well set slightly sloping shoulders, capable of a span. Correct shoulder to upper arm angle. A straight firm back to a well set tail nicely rooted. Hindquarters firm with good return of stifle and let down hocks. Well bodied with depth to chest and brisket, having good flexible skin, and with correct ribs well shaped and back into a short loin. Harsh textured body coat with some ticking, nicely presented and conditioned. Straight well boned and balanced legs with compact feet and good pads. Very sound free mover with a good side stride, very promising. 2 Mansons’ Vixenview Silent Uh Sass In Another very attractive puppy so well built with nice construction throughout. Loved his well marked tan head with a nice white blaze. Alert dark almond-shaped eyes, correctly hung and shaped ears, good length to his clean neck, set well into slightly sloping shoulders with a nice hand span, a backline of good length to a rooted tail carried well. A harsh clear white well presented and textured coat covered a lovely well ribbed back flexible body, correctly angulated front and rear with depth and width to his chest and strength to his hindquarters. Straight well boned legs with tight compact feet, having a nice side stride but inclined to toe in at front which lost the top spot. 3 Youngs’ Chadbrook Global Thief. 1 Mansons’ Vixenview Revolution. I see this is the litter brother to my second in MPD class he is just a little more mature and has a lovely size, build, overall balance and stood covering the ground well with a nice stack. Correct wedge shape to his nicely marked tan head, good flat skull, well set apart neat dropped forward ears, lovely kind alert look to his dark expressive eyes, slight stop, flat cheeks. Muscular clean long neck into well laid back sloping shoulders with good hand span, a firm balanced backline with a rooted and carried tail. Correctly angulated front to his upper arm with depth to his chest, well ribbed back body with substance covered in a harsh textured white jacket with tan patch to his body and tail. Muscular hindquarters with a good return to his stifle and let down hocks, super balance to his boned legs and tight compact padded feet. Super very sound mover with a happy attitude. BPD BPIB. 2 Bakers’ Star Kabu Vom Schwariwald Poland To Pacolito (Imp) Very attractive well marked and coated tan head to look at but, on going over I would have liked a little flatter skull and slightly larger ears, bright alert look to his almond-shaped eyes, shallow stop and good cheeks. Nice clean neck of correct length, well set into sloping shoulders into a firm level long back to strong hindquarters with a rooted well set and carried tail. Good depth of chest, well placed straight well boned forelegs, compact tight feet. A nice body with good thick flexible skin and having a nice span behind his shoulders. Correctly ribbed back body just a little long in loin. Firm hindquarters, with a good return of stifle and let down hocks, tight compact feet with strong pads. Well coated and textured and well presented and conditioned coat. Moved out well with a nice side stride but inclined to toe in at front, correct drive from behind. 3 Youngs’ Chadbrook Syracuse. 1 Smiths’ Alncroft Hijack I see this young nearly 15 month male is by my CC winning dog and carries a lot of his good points plus he has a lovely rich tan colour to his lovely wedged head which is so well marked, nice flat skull, well set and hung well shaped ears, slight stop, dark kind bright eyes, enough foreface well coated. Proud head carriage on a good length of neck set into his slightly sloping shoulders, having a correct hand span, a strong level correctly balanced back with good flexible skin. A straight strong well held tail. Well angulated front and rear of a body with depth and well sprung back ribs into a short strong loin. A body with substance covered in a harsh well textured white broken coat. Lovely straight balanced and boned forelegs, hindquarters with good return of stifle and let down hocks, tight compact feet with hard pads. A youngster who just needs to settle into his stride, but very sound once into his free action. 2 Mansons’ Vixenview Valentino Another nice male on the stack for me I would have liked more balance to his well coated and marked head with nice white blaze, having the correct, flat skull to a nice stop, just a little long in foreface. Dark alert well set eyes. Clean long muscular neck into well set sloping shoulders and a firm level backline of good length to a well set and carried tail. Nicely angulated front with depth to his chest, good body depth and well ribbed back to hindquarters needing more second thigh, feet could be more compact and tighter. Has enough stride but lacks the positive action of my winner. 3 Duke & Gills’ Foxfur Peter. slightly disappointing class for entries. 1 Rimmers’ Plunkett Woody At Kylini Nice overall size and build to this nearly 15 months rough coated B/W male with a balanced outline. Masculine, white coated head with good flat skull, correctly set and hung coated black ears. Very dark alert expressive eyes with correct pigmentation, nice stop, good foreface, dentition well coated. Clean long muscular neck into sloping shoulders capable of a span. Having a firm level backline, a muscular rump with a tail set a little low but carried ok. I would have liked more front angulation but his chest had a good depth and body had good flexy skin, well ribbed back into a short strong loin. Strong hindquarters good return of stifle and let down hocks. On the move had a nice side stride and once he settled moved freely and soundly. 2 Mitchell & Harcourt-Morris’ Lanacourt Lord Joules Taller and not as balanced as my winner. Lacking the true wedge shape to his light tan marked head, being narrow and needing to be flatter in his skull, plus being little too long in his foreface. Correct alert kind dark almond shaped eyes. Good length of neck into slightly sloping shoulders capable of a span, an uneven topline to tail which was set on ok. I would like more front angulation, enough body depth but could do with some more weight and substance. Well ribbed but needs to be further back as a little long in loin. Good hindquarters with some tone, return of stifle, hocks a little long, feet a little open. Moved out with enough stride just close at foot both at front and rear. 1 Roberts & Murrays’ Mindlen Moki smartly balanced and built youngster of 19 months, of the two I preferred his head shape of a good wedge and so well marked with nice blaze, flat skull with correctly positioned nice sized ears, with bright alert almond shaped dark eyes, nice narrowing to and balanced fore face good dentition. A clean throat to his long muscular neck into sloping shoulders, giving a nice span, has a level backline of correct length, having a strong rump with well set rooted tail of nice length. Correctly angulated front and rear of a body with depth and substance, good flexible skin, well ribbed back into a strong short loin. Well balanced and boned forelegs, compact arched feet, a very sound stylish free mover once he settled, having a nice action. 2 Biglands’ Heythrop Toptag Very nice overall stance and stack with a good head not quite the real wedge shape of my winner, ears being too long and large, nice dark expressive eyes. Head held well on long muscular neck into strong well set sloping shoulders with a firm longer backline with a nice rump and well rooted tail. A straight front needs a little more depth of chest and brisket, a nicely ribbed body but needs to be further back being too long in loin. Having ticked flexible skin nicely coated in well marked tri colours. Hindquarters, well developed with good return of stifle and let down hocks. Good length of leg and well boned with correct arched padded feet, a good side action, moves very close behind but with a nice sound front action. A stunning class, catalogue shows an impressive class. 1 Smiths’ Ch Heythrop Task Master For Alncroft headed a quality class of males so correct in breed type. My winner brought memories of the Group I judged a Paignton where I shortlisted a very smart Parson to find this dog again within this quality was very satisfying. A lovely masculine moderately broad wedge-shaped tan marked head with a nice white blaze, a nice flat skull with well positioned correctly shaped ears, alert bright dark almond shaped eyes, slight stop, a strong jaw well furnished. Shows a nice temperament, holds a proud head carriage on a clean neck, long sloping shoulders with a good hand span, flexible skin, level back with strong muscular hindquarters with correct stifle and let down hocks. Correctly angulated body with moderate depth to his chest and brisket, ribs carried well back, a nice slight tuck to his strongly developed loin, nicely coated rough tan and clear white of quality texture in lovely presentation. Stands well on balanced legs well boned and placed with tight compact feet. A stylish very sound free mover who was my best mover with a lovely stride, covering the ground well nice held tail. DCC/BOB. 2 Bakers’ Ch Pacolito Resurrection JW another stunner with a correct outline who stood covering the ground well with a lovely stack, so well built and correctly balanced. Masculine wedge shaped head well coated in Tan and nicely furnished, flat skull with well set-on and held ears, alert dark expressive eyes, slight stop, narrowing to his foreface. Moderate neck with clean lines into slightly sloping shoulders, nice span and with flexible skin, level backline well set and carried tail. Lovely substance and depth to his body so well ribbed back into a strong loin, with the correct front and rear angulation. Beautifully conditioned ticked skin and presented and groomed coat of tan and white. Well boned and balanced legs with tight compact arched feet strong pads from which he moved out very soundly once he settled into his stride. 3 Cassons’ Ch Windlen Hendricks At Cassjoebar. 1 Smiths’ Digaden Top & Tails I see that my first and second are litter brother and see and both had that similar attractive look. I liked the male for his condition and overall balance at 8.5 years he was in lovely muscle tone and his skin was flexible. Lovely coated head of a nice tan colour, correctly wedge shaped with flat skull and well set and used ears. Dark expressive eyes still retaining their colour. Slight stop to his strong jaw and foreface and clean dentition. Correct shoulders and topline with capable of a span. Muscular hindquarters with moderate straight tail well rooted. Well angulated front and rear of a body still with tone and substance and well ribbed back into a strong loin with slight tuck from a good under body. Rough white body coat in nice condition and well groomed. Straight well boned and balanced legs with compact tight arched feet, very sound free striding mover, BVD and BVIB. 2 Newports’ Digaden Made To Measure My winners litter sister at 8.5 years still retains a very attractive feminine look and is of the correct size although slightly smaller she has a lovely overall balance. Very feminine correctly shaped tan marked head, sweet expression from dark alert eyes, well set ears, nice slight stop, correct foreface, teeth could be in better condition. Good shoulders with span behind, firm backline with flexible body skin. Tail set little low but carried well. Strong body with moderate depth, such a well coated rough with an attractive body patch, well ribbed back into a short loin, muscular hindquarters. Straight legs, compact feet with nice arching. Moved very soundly once she settled into a good stride. 3 Newports’ Ch Digaden Pitch Perfect. 1 Shields’ Pacolito Follow The Lead With Shielmarh, A very sweet and attractive well built nearly 9 month old with a good outline who stood well working with her handler. Lovely well ribbed back body with slight tuck to her loin, nice flexible skin with ticked marks, body well coated in rough white of good texture, condition and presented. Best class mover and so sound with correct free action. 2 Krimmels’ Draytogo Vienna Sweet baby just under 9 months stood well working nicely with her handler and gave a lovely outline on the stance. Feminine well furnished, worked and shaped white coated head. Ears well positioned but one ear just needs to settle. Pretty almond shaped dark eyes with one having an eye patch, clean cheeks with slight stop, narrowing to a nice strong jaw. Clean neck into well laid back shoulders with nice span behind, flexible skin level topline nicely rooted tail. Nicely angulated front and rear quarters with just enough depth to her chest and body substance, super presentation to a white coat. Balanced well boned legs and tight feet not as positive in her movement as my winner. 3 Mansons’ Foxfur Hell Fire. 1 Bakers’ Tusiquevales Jabberwocky To Pacolito (Imp Ita) NAF A very impressive baby who stood her ground well, holding herself to show a nice overall balance. Lovely wedge shaped head nicely marked tan with a fine white blaze, slight stop, dark keen almond shaped eyes, well held ears. Narrowing to a well furnished muzzle. Excellent harsh textured white coat with nice undercoat, a tan patch by her well held tail.
